Dec 2012 Bday Card

Hi Everyone,
Yes, I'm back again to share my finished card.  I shared an image that I color earlier and I some issues with her hair but I think it work out at the end.

Here is the card:

Don't mind the the overcast weather we are having.  I thought it would be best to take a picture on my deck but it's a bit blue just like the card. Hehe!!

I used several items that are brand new such as Create a card Spellbinder sets A and B, Greeting Farms - Miss Anya Scarves, and Twine.

This was my first try with these stamps and I need more practice coloring them.  She came out ok but I know I can do better in time.  If you want to know my list of Copics just let me know.

The paper I used were Bazzil cardstock and Sandylion - Snowflakes.  This worked out perfectly because her favorite color is blue.

Oh, one more thing, I used a dollar store Happy Birthday sentiment and her birthday hat.  I love doing this to images.  The hat doesn't come with the Greeting farm set.  I added it after.  I love how that turned out don't you.

I hope you all like this card.

Have a great Saturday and take care:

Hugs,

Something I'm working on...

I had to share because I need some help.
I'm working on a birthday card for my Hubby's Niece and I can't seem to color brown hair.
HELP!!

I think it's ok but I think I need more practice.  This is my first time coloring these Greeting Farm Stamps.  I just love these version of the Miss Anya Line.  I'm not too fawn of the others.
I love the paper I paper pieced her sweater and boots.

Here she is:

I hope to be back with the finished card in a bit.

Thanks for checking it out and let me know what you all think.

Hugs,

Gift Card Holders for Family

Hi Everyone,
I'm back again to share another project that I have been working on for family this year.
I cased Kathy Orta's idea from last year.  I craft with some friends about 3 weeks ago and showed how to make these and then I ended up making several for my family.

Check it out:
Outside

Inside
So, I used more of that fabulous paper from Authentic Festive.  I have a ton of papers left from this collection.  I need to make a DEC daily.  I know it's too late but one day I'm going to make one. LOL!!

I also used some KandCo Christmas chipboard pieces that I got from Target awhile back.  I made some tags for them to add pictures and maybe journal.  Love making these for family and friends.  I made these last year from my friends.  They loved them.

I hope our family will enjoy these as well.

It has been a horrible weekend for the families in CT.  My heart and prayers goes out to them.
This violence has to stop!

I hope everyone is having a Great Monday so far.

Take care and hug your little ones,

Teachers Xmas Gifts 2012

Hi Everyone,
I wanted to share some gifts I just put together this week.
Every year I buy a little something for my kids teachers.  Either an ornament, gift cards or just a simple Christmas cards from my kids.
This year I had a fabulous idea to give Xmas mugs and stuff them with Hot Chocolate mix, marshmallows, candy cane and a Starbucks gift card.  I had mentioned this idea to another mother and she implied that it was a bad idea to give a teacher mugs these days.  First, I was hurt to think that this was a terrible idea but as I thought about it she made perfect sense.  A teacher that has been teaching awhile could have collected many many mugs throughout her career so I had to think of another vessel to put these goodies in.

I saw Robyn from Injoystampin on Youtube show this idea on her channel.  I have also seen Jo from Paperdrama on Youtube also showed this idea as well.  So, I thought it would be perfect to create.

Here it is:

These were so simple to make and I hope they enjoy them.

I ran out to 711 to snatch a few coffee sleeves to alter.  I used more of my Authentic Festive 12x12 paper that I just love so much.  Added some natural looking ric rac trim that I got from Joanns.  I had a few more of those snowflake buttons and added a bling in the center.  I found some gingerbread tags from target and viola done.  In the packets I added  Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate pack, packet of marshmallows, two Ghirardelli Peppermint Bark Squares (Mm new addiction).  Yumm!

So, I know I haven't made a video in a long time but I have been creating here and there.
I just don't have time to make a video lately.
Hopefully, I will be back in motion in the new year.

Thanks everyone for stopping by today.  Have a fabulous weekend.

Hugs,

MSR Swap gifts I've made

Hi Everyone,
Today I wanted to share something quick that I made for the ladies in my Swap over at MSR.
I try to make some thing for everyone including the hostess as a thank you.
I found these mittens at my Michaels (No, I didn't make them. I wish I did).

So, check it out:

I then made some stickpins to go with.  The mittens are stuffed ornaments but to me they look like pin cushions. So, made a pin for each of the ladies in my group.  I thought this was so cute and I had to add to my package to Sonya (Hostess).

I hope you all like them.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Have a good Tuesday!

Christmas Cards for 2012

Hi Everyone,
I wanted to share my Christmas Cards this year.  I have completed them in record time because it's usually a week before the holiday I finish them. LOL!!  But not this year.  I found the little bit of my mojo I could find and finished them ahead of schedule.

Like I mentioned in my previous post, I use the same idea with the Window die for the ATCs for my Christmas Cards.

Check it out:
I used the Grand Madison Window die.
I just love this card.  Let me go through all products I used.

Paper:  American Crafts Cardstock
Pattern Paper:  Authentic Festive 12x12 pack
Die: Memory Box Grand Madison Window
Punches:  Martha Stewart pine branch, box, and border punches
SU modern and word punches.
Pens: SU markers
Embossing :  Tim Holtz Brick embossing folder
Dollar Stamp: Candle
Snowflake buttons from Walmart.

I love this die.  I can use this die on a number of cards.

Well, I hope you all are having a great holiday season so far.  I just love this time of year.  I could do without all the stress it brings but I love the excitement in my kids most of all.

Thanks everyone for stopping by today.

Take Care... Hugs!

MSR Vintage Xmas ATCs

Hello Everyone,
I can't believe it's December already. Where has the time gone?  It just seem like it was Halloween months ago. And I thought I had all the time in the world.  Well, I don't and it's coming in quick.

Today, I do have something to share FINALLY!!  I thought I would join in on an ATC swap over at My Scrap Room Ning site.  I really struggled on deciding on joining but I couldn't resist this because I just love vintage images.  I found an old Coke Cola Santa on line and I had to use it (not knowing what or how to use it on my ATC).  And I'm so glad I joined.

So, here it is.

I used my new Memory Box Small Madison Window die.  I absolutely love this die and I'm so glad I used it.  It's like looking in on Santa.  Hehe!!  I used the Martha Stewart Punch - drippy good border punch for the white snow. (Loved how this turned out).  Yay, for another purpose for that punch. I also used MS bow punch.  Then I used a Tonic snowflake punches I got at Tuesday Morning.

I hope you all like them.  It was fun to make and I hope this is a start of more to come.

Thanks everyone for stopping by today.

Have a Great Thursday and a Wonderful Friday!!

I used paper from the Colorbok Flea Market collection, Spellbinders - Labels 2 and Ribbon Banners, my new Gorjuss Girl Stamp - Forget Me Not.  I colored her with my Copics.  Added Flower trim from Walmart and a ton of flat back pearl.  Lastly, I used MSE Birthday sentiment.

Thanks everyone for stopping by and taking a break from all that shopping on this Black Friday.
I don't do Black Friday.  Me and crowds don't mix.  lol!!

November Bday Card

Hello Everyone,
I'm here to share a card that I made for my Son's friend birthday today.
Mind you, I haven't found my Mojo yet.  It has deserted me since August and I can't seem
to find it ever since.  So, this card is just a real simple boy card with paper
I had for ages.  I don't know the company name but I did buy this paper at my local Michaels
eons ago.  hehe!!

Here is my picture:
Birthday Card
It's really cute paper with car, trucks and airplanes. It also had basketballs and other sport balls all over it.
This paper was meant for my son's scrapbook(which I haven't even started on).
I have extra paper of this design so I can still do a layout for my son... one day. LOL...

Anyway, thanks for stopping by today.

I hope to find my mojo soon.  I have thanksgiving cards to make soon.

Have a Great Weekend and Holiday coming.

Witch's Brooms during a Storm

Hi Everyone,
As you may know that the East Coast is experiencing a Mega storm called Sandy today.
We should be getting heavier rain and stronger wind later tonight.
I wanted to get some crafting done for my Daughter's Class for Halloween.
We may have Halloween on Thursday instead of Wednesday this year. :)  Plus I need to heat
emboss the witch's shoes with my heat gun that required electricity.
Which we may lose this evening.  I wanted to get them done before that. hehe!!

We are doing fine and prepared for the storm.  The kids are off from school and hubby is home.  We are all together and safe.

The above project is not my idea but some talented ladies on YouTube.  I just had to make them myself.  Plus my daughter just loves them and I do too.

They are made out of Tootsie roll lollipops, natural coffee filters, twine and black and cream card stock.
They are so fun to put together.

Thanks everyone for stopping by today and wish us luck this evening.

Have a great Monday and I hope to post more soon.

Hugs,

Halloween 2012

Hi All, I'm sorry for not posting anything lately.
I haven't been motivated to make cards or anything lately.  Plus, we have been extremely busy with our house, kids, and just plain everyday stuff.

I finally found some creative mojo to make some Halloween cards that I desperately needed to make for Family and Friends.
I can't believe that it's already next week.  I have treats to make for my kids classes too.
I will definitely show them when I'm done.  I hope... hehe!!

Here is my card:

I hope you all like this one.  I really do.  I used some new things that I have recently purchased.  If you want to know what all I used check out my video below.

Thanks everyone for stopping by today.  I really hope to have more cards and crafts for you all more often.

Have a great day!

Our 9th Anniversary Card

Hi Everyone,
Today I wanted to share a Card I will be giving my Hubby this year for our Anniversary.
We have been married for only 9 years but it feels like 25 years. hehe!!
We have had our ups and down but isn't that what marriage is all about.   He is really
everything to me.  Well actually he is my rock.

I used the Romance Novel paper from Prima that I got in a swap.  I have been wanting this paper for
some time now and I'm so glad to have it in my little hands.

I have done a video on it of all the products I used and where I got the idea from.

Thanks for stopping by today.
I hope you have a great day and week to come.

Anniversary Wishes

Hi Friends,
I'm here today to share a card I made for my parents.  It's their Anniversary tomorrow and as usual I'm late once again.  It seems to be a regular thing these days.
As many of you know, I'm from Hawaii and now live on the Mainland.
I do miss my home town very much and hope to bring my kiddos there one day soon.
My parents are from there too but now lives in Southern California.
I wanted to make them a card that reminded them of home.

Here it is:

This card is not my norm with all the bright colors but it sure screams Hawaii, don't you think?

I used a stamp set I just bought at Tuesday Morning that I was dying to try out and it's the background stamp called Summer Collage from TPC Studio.
I used another stamp that my Sister gave me along time ago and it's those Hula girls in the center.
Thanks Sis!!  I had used that stamp once before on a tag I made for a Tag Swap.

So, here is my card to my Awesome parents.  I hope they like it.

Thanks everyone for stopping by today and please leave comments letting me know what you think.

Have a great day!!

Frog Door Hanger

Hi Everyone,
This week has been extremely busy for me and my family.
We are doing so many things at one time it's Crazy!!  Today, I wanted to share a craft
project that my son and his friends will be making at his Birthday Party this Sunday.
I know you have seen the Angry Bird Invites that I already posted but the party will be at
a Nature Center that will be talking about and viewing Frogs.
So, his birthday this year is a combination of Angry Birds and Frogs.
This center has a party room (which I'm so glad about) to host about 30 people.

I bought a door hanger on-line for the kids to put together since there will be time to spare
after the demonstration.

Frog Door Hanger
I bought these kits from Oriental Trading Company and I hand to make one to see
how it's put together.  It has sticky back to peel off which is Super for me!!
I don't have to bring glue among other things we have to bring to the party.
Plus, I think the kids will like it.

I also bought an Angry Birds (Pin the tail on the Birdie) game for them too.
Which reminds me I have to get some prizes for them.  It never ends.

So it will be lots of fun and I can't wait for it to be over. LOL!!

Thanks for stopping by today and taking a peek.

Angry Birds Bday Invites... Finally!!

Hi Everyone,
I'm so sorry it's been so long since I last post something.  I lost my creative juice aka "mojo".  As you can see I haven't created anything since the beginning of August.  That's a long time for me and believe me I was getting a little sad that I didn't have anything to share with you all.  Well, I hope you all are still following me even though and I hope you all leave comments for me.  I do appreciate them.

So, this week was the first week both kids are in School. Yay!!  I had some time to get things together for my son's 5th Birthday party.  He wanted an Angry Bird party.  If you are not familiar with this game it's a iPhone or smart phone app for your phones, iPad, or kindles.  I only have it on my phone.
My kids love playing with it and especially my son.  Love it.  So, I looked online for ideas on how to make them.  Then I came across this women from Australia that did a video on YouTube.  Here is the Link and here is her blog with the template: http://valitasfreshfolds.blogspot.com.au/2012/02/blue-red-yellow-angry-bird-cards.html if you are interested.  Thanks Valita!!

Here is the first three cards so far:
Paper pieced Invitations.

So, I have 16 more to go. Wish me luck.  They are so adorable.  I can't believe how well they turned out.

I hope to have a birthday card made for you all soon.

Thanks for sticking with me and stopping by today.

Have a great week and weekend to come.

August Birthday Cards

Hi all,
I wanted to share some cards I made for several birthdays I have to made this month.
Two masculine and one feminine cards.  And you know how I dislike making masculine cards.   They are so difficult for me to do. LOL!!

So here are the cards for your review:

Tell me why I always struggle with these cards every year.  I should be a pro by now after 7+ years of making them.  Tell me?  hehe!!

Anyway, I hope everyone is having a great day and looking forward to Friday as I am.
I also wish you all a great weekend as well.

I will have more projects to share soon. I will have another birthday card this month and hopefully an altered letter and tray for you all.

Take Care and I hope to post more soon.

MSR Challenge #27

Hi Everyone,
It's been so long since I posted anything and I wanted to share a project I made for a challenge over at Myscraproom.ning.com.

Gina (Scrappinology) does weekly challenges over on her ning site and I really wanted to do this one.  It was to alter a pocket.  Well, I couldn't just alter one pocket, I altered both of them. hehe!!

I cut up one of my Daughter's pair of jeans with a pretty embroidered pattern on it.

Here are the rules:
We had to add:
Lace
Charm
Safety Pin
Pattern Paper
Beaded Trim
Color Pink
(but the pink item couldn't be any of the items above)

Here is what I came up with:

I added eyelets for her to hang this in her room.  I love it.  She loves it too.

So, this challenge was supper fun to do and I hope everyone likes it.

I hope everyone is having a Great Friday so far.  Have a great weekend ahead.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Sweet Day Card

Hi Everyone!
Remember little old me... I haven't been in the creative mood lately and we just got back from vacation so it's been a slow going on the creative train here. LOL!!

I had some motivation to color an image yesterday and I quickly made a birthday card for my Hubby's Mom.  And NO, it's not a gorjuss girl stamp.  hehe!!  I'm using a stamp I won from Silvia's giveaway on her blog at http://craftySil.blogspot.com.   Thanks Sil!!

It's a Penny Black Stamp called "Sweet Day".  I thought she was so adorable and she has strawberries on her dress and carrying a strawberry purse.  How cute is that.  My MIL loves strawberries and this worked out perfect.

It's a 5x5 card that I have been a ton of.  I'm Using the MME 6x6 paper pack called "A Happy Heart" I bought at a TJ Maxx on our vacation.  I'm using the Bling from Jules (Jannaviles) from my daughter package she had sent her.  Thanks Jules!!  Colored her with my copics.

I hope you all like her and this card.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope to have more creations up for you guys soon.

Have a great Sunday and the Week ahead.

Altered Paper Bags

Hi Everyone,
I hope you all are having a Fantastic Wednesday.  We are keeping cool inside today since it's going to be a scorcher here on the East Coast.  Later today the kids and I will be going to a Water Park for a bit.  Can't wait.

Today, I wanted to share some paper bags I altered for a ItripledogdareU Challenge on Youtube.  Thanks Lydia for the challenge.  I have been wanting to make these bags to take with me to the GASC - Great American Scrapbook Convention Chantilly, VA this Friday and Saturday for some special ladies I will be meeting up.  I will be ading some snacks and goodies to the bags.

Here they are:

I'm making a total of six bags (2 each of each style).  These are so easy and fun to make.  I hope they will like them.

I'm so geared up to go to the Convention his Friday and Saturday.  It's always a blast.  I just hope it's bigger than last year.  Anyway, thanks for taking a peak today.

Have a great week, Everyone....

Hugs,
