ICAD DAY 1, 2, 3

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I'm back with another post as promised.

I wanted to share my ICAD for Day 1-3.

The size of my index cards is 3-1/2 x 5.  Some of I have gessoed and some are not.  I'm trying to think creatively instead of figuratively.  We will see as the days go by I just might start to.  I do have a total of 61 days.  Wish me luck. #Dyicad2020 #daisyyellowart

ICAD 2020 by Daisy Yellow

Good Morning All,

I wanted to share something that I have been wanting to try out for some time.  She has been doing this Challenge for 10 years now.

If you are not familiar with this I have linked her site above.  The challenge is to create something on an index card every day.  I need this to boost my mojo and create more.  It is part of my goals in 2020.   Here are the prompts by day and week:

What I like about this you can follow the prompts or not.  It's all up to you.  I have been creating and posting on my Instagram.  If you want to follow me on Instagram, here is my link .  I will post them later today.

10 item Challenge - A layered tag

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I here today with another tag.  This time it was a challenge within a small group of ladies I'm with and we sent our assigned person 10 items in our stash and we had to tell our partner what to create.  My partner was Judy Evans Parker.  I sent 10 things to another gal.

Here are the 10 items:

1.   Napkin
2.   Paper Die Cuts
3.   Applique
4.   Crochet doilies
5.    Wedding Dress buttons
6.    Flower trim
7.    Acrylic Leave trim
8.   Word Stickers
9.   Lace
10. Acrylic Flowers

You had to use all 10 items on your requested project in some kind of way.  You could use a little or a lot.  So, I had some cardboard in my stash.  I cut out a 4 x 8 tag out of the cardboard. I ripped off one side of the cardboard exposing the corrugated part.  I dry brushed white acrylic white paint on the corrugated tag.  I then ripped the napkin and glued it onto the corrugated part.  Lastly, I arranged and glued the items to the tag listed above.

I hope you all like it.  It was fun to make.  If you follow me on Youtube you have already seen this tag.

Have a blessed Sunday.  Stay safe!!

My Prima Doll Tag for a Swap

Hello Everyone,

I'm here today to share my altered tag with "Dita" a Julie Nutting Prima doll for a swap.  I used a Prima tag that measures 3-1/2 by 7-1/2 in.  I used a Prima paper Collection called Romantique "Estella" that I had in my stash for some time.  I stamped the Prima doll, colored her with my copies, and fussy cut her out.  I then paper pieced her dress and added a bow to her hair.  After layering the smaller tag I popped her with foam squares to add some dimension.  I added eyelets from my stash.  I placed a doily to the smaller tag that I created earlier.  On the bottom of both tags, I added some trims from my stash.  I did add some gold word stickers that say " You are beautiful  & lovely"  Lastly I added some flatback pearls and ribbon roses.

I think it turned out pretty nice since I haven't done one is such a long time.  I wanted to make something with one of my many Prima dolls and this swap was a good opportunity to so.  I hope the person that receives this tag enjoys it.  Oh, I forgot to say that I added a pocket to the back of the tag with my info for the recipient .

I have been wanting to do something other than making cards.  I have another tag to share that a few ladies and I have sent us 10 items to challenge us to make something with them.  Stay tune.  LOL!!

Have a Great weekend.  Stay Safe!!

My Mother's Day Cards 2020

Hi Everyone,

Wow, it's been a very long time since I posted my crafty creations.  I haven't been in the mood to post I guess.  I can't believe it's been 3 years.   I'm planning to post more since this whole Pandemic.  I'm on furlough with my current part-time job.  Luckily my husband works for the DOD so we are ok.  However, he hates telecommuting.  He is constantly on the phone with countless meetings.  I am trying to keep busy with making cards for family and friends.  I don't know who will comment on my post but I'm going to try to post more often.

Well, here are my Mother's Day cards for 2020. I used a card sketch called SheetLoad of Cards from call me crafty Al.  She provides you will all the measurements and supplies need to complete 10 - 12 cards on her youtube channel:  Should you be interested in making these cards.  They are easy to make.

I hope you all are staying safe during these unprecedented times.  I will never forget 2020.
I will see you all soon with another post.

Big Hugs,

First Birthday Card for July

Hi Everyone,

Here is a card I created this month.  This card is for my Mother-in-law.  This one was a bit hard because I usually do a strawberry theme birthday card.  I had made one but I wasn't happy with it so I changed it up with the card below.

Here it is:

I like this one better.  I hope she likes it as well.  I used one of my Aliexpress rose dies.  I really love how this die cut.  It was different what I had expected.  It is different and unique and that's why I love it.

Thanks everyone for stopping by today.

I will be back with another birthday card.
