Last Post for the Year

Hi Crafty Buddies,
I thought my last post was my last one for this year but then we went out shopping at our local BJs Wholesale Club.  I just had to share what I found there to you all.  I found a really cute container for my ever growing Copics. Check it out

There is room to grow.  LOL!!  I bought a set of 3 of Rubbermaid containers for a good price and in a Cute color "Pink".  I have been searching on-line for a container that I can carry around but not too big.  I can use this to carry to crops, up and down the stairs to my craft closet. It's really portable which I LOVE!!  My goal for the new year is to use these markers more and create, create, create...

Ok, this is my last post for the year...
See you all in the New Year.

My New Camera!

Hey Bloggy friends, Santa was extremely nice to me this year.  He knew exactly want I really wanted.  I wanted other scrappy things but he knew what I truly needed.  I have used a point and click camera for too long and finally I have a SLR Camera to call my very own.  I used my point and click camera to take this picture for the last time. hehe!!  I hope Santa was extremely nice to you too.

Ok, I better get back to my family.  Have a Great Day Everyone and a Blessed one too.

Bday Gift Card Holder

Hey Crafty Friends, here I go again.  I don't know why when I'm hooked on something I'm just a creating fool.  Here is another Kathy Orta's gift card holder I created for My hubby's Niece.  Her birthday is next week and we always give her a gift card to her favorite clothing store.  So, I had to make another one.   Her favorite color is blue and I really dug into my stash of many papers and this is all had to work with.  I have a ton of pink papers and hardly any blue.  I have a lot of vintage paper but that wouldn't go with this purpose.  Anyway, I changed it a little instead of punching out circles for the closure I use buttons and bling.  I really like this better because i don't have to fuss with and eyelet setter.  I hope you all like.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peak.  Take Care!

Kathy Orta's Gift Card Holders

OK, I'm hooked on these things!!

Hello Crafty Friends,
I hope you are having a Fantastic Tuesday.  I'm so done with all the things I wanted to do.  Well... lol!!  I'm not so stressed now.  Anyway, I wanted to share some Gift Card Holders I have created for some friends of mine. Ever since I saw Kathy Orta (Paper Phenomenon) video I immediately went out and bought some 6x9 envelopes from Office Depot.  Thanks Kathy for the Awesome Idea.  The one on the far right is my prototype.  I had to make sure I can do it before making the real deal.  I hope you guys like...  I'm loving these and they are so simple to make.  You guys should try these.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today.  Have a great day and come back soon.

Kids Xmas Cards 2011

Hello Fellow Crafters!!
I wanted to share the Xmas cards my kids made yesterday.  They are simple but very cute.  Here are some pictures...

I used some old Xmas papers I had and cut them down to size.  Used some $1 foam stickers from Joanns.  Then added some glitter to with some glitter glue from Crayola.  They had a blast making them.  So, I will be sticking candy canes to each card from each classmate.  We do this every year and its like a tradition for us. hehe!!

Anyway, thanks for stopping by... I'm off to wrap gifts, make some gift card holders and lastly I will be baking some Snow Ball cookies for my Son's Class.  They will be doing a cookie exchange this year.  There are not enough hours in a day to do everything I wanted to do.  We haven't decorated our gingerbread house and we still need to make Christmas cookies for Santa. Whew!  I'm tired already.  Plus, I need to mail more cards out to friends.  I'm so behind.  Oh well, I better get moving and get things done...

Have a Blessed Sunday...

Baking Baking Baking!

Hey Bloggers! I know I haven't posted much lately.  I just don't have time to create anything good for you all.  I did want to share what my hubby has been up to.  Yes, you heard me "My Hubby" has been baking up a storm all day.  He makes these delish chocolate chip cookies and pudding cake for his friends for the holidays.  They do a cookie, fudge and everything in between swap with their closest friends.  He has done this for years even before we met.  So, here is picture of his creations:
Tomorrow, I will share my kids cards that they made for their friends this year.  Please come back to see.  Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you all are enjoying this holiday season.  It gets busier every year for me.  I  wait for a little vacation we have planned.

Have a Great Weekend.  Take care!

Giving Tree 2011

Hello Everyone!
I thought I would share this with all of you.  Every year my kids pick stars at our Church's Giving Tree and then we go out and buy gifts to those in Need.  I want to teach them that it's better to give then to receive.  Each child gets to pick a star off the "Giving Tree".  So, Here is a picture of the gifts:

I hope everyone is having a Great Tuesday.  Are you finish shopping, I'm NOT!!!  But, I'm SO glad I got to do this with my kids.

My New Advent Calendar for 2011

Hi everyone, How was your weekend?  We had a great weekend.  We got out Christmas tree, decorated the house (inside and out), had Breakfast with Santa and put up the Christmas Train.  I wanted to share my new Advent calendar with you all.  I had a different one but it was just hard to keep out and this year (I got this idea from a friend) I made my own with Muslin Bags I bought from Etsy.  Here is a pics:

I put some Hersheys candy cane kisses in them for the kids.  They just loved them.  I stamped my images with Stazon Timber Black.  I also stamped the numbers with a set I got from Target that I just love.  Added some bells and Viola "Our New Advent Calendar".  We are on day 5 ...

Thanks everyone for stopping by and taking a peak.

Have a Great Monday and Week.

Santa's Letter Holder

Hi everyone, Happy Wednesday to you all.  I felt creative today, so I altered some Balsa boxes from Michaels.  I believe I got this Idea from Angie (Meriscrapper13 on Youtube) and I had to make this year for my kids.  It's a Santa Letter Holder.  I had this crazy story to go with it - instead of mailing your list/letter to Santa that he would send an Elf down from the North Pole to pick up all letters and then leave a little something behind. So, I wanted to start something like that on November 30st, the kids would write out their list put in the holder and when they woke up the next morning (Dec. 1st) there would be a little gift left by Santa's elf (it could happen right)... LOL... I thought it would kick off the excitement of Christmas.  Here they are:
This one is for my Daughter
This one is for my Son
I hope you all like them as much as I do.  Now my kids can't wait to write them out.  Yay, success!!

I used Me and My Big Ideas Value Pack from a couple of years ago.  I'm trying to use up papers that I have.  Painted the box with White Acrylic paint.  Then glued paper with Mod Podge Gloss and then painted more over the paper to give a glossy finish.  Fussy cut the reindeers and polar bears out of the pattern paper.  Added some stickles (xmas red) and Studio G Sparkle writer (Clear) on the cut outs.  Drilled holes on the sides with my Fiskars Drill (love this tool).  Strung and knotted some white and gingham blue ribbon.  Unscrewed the hardware for the closure.  Painted the knob with white paint.  Glue buttons on them with hot glue.  Last of all, added some laces and trims and Viola two holders ready for action.

Thank you all for stopping by.  I want to wish each and everyone of you a Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow.  I can't believe it's already here.  Now I'm ready for Christmas.  hehe!!

Have a great day..

Last 2 Flowers...

for a swap...  I wanted to share what I have come up with.  As you know, I'm doing a card and flower swap over on Nilianny's YouTube channel.  I had an idea of what I was making but just need the right papers.  So, I used the same papers from the collect that I used to make the card (DCWV Blossoms and Butterflies).  I thought it went together.  Here is my flowers:
I combined the mini paper rosette flowers (Tim Holtz) and my lace trims from my stash.  I really love the mini rosettes.  I just bought it at my local AcMoore store.

I really need to use up all the laces in my stash.  I have bought and received from such generous ladies in a rak or swap.  Here is a picture of all my lace and various trims.  Please keep in mind that is not all of it. LOL...
I have more in another closet hanging on binder rings.  I know I have a problem...  Need to stop hoarding them all and use them up.  hehe!!

I hope you all like and I can't wait for my partner to enjoy them.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek.  Have a Great Week, Everyone!!

Flower/Card Swap

Hi Everyone... Happy Thursday!  Today was a pretty busy day.  The kids had the day off, I had to go to 2 conferences, pick out paint for our livingroom, and get flu shots.  Whew, what a day...I did squeeze some time to make this card for a flower/card swap I'm in.  I have already showed two (2) of the flowers and I haven't worked on the other two yet but I will soon.  Here is my Card:

My partner likes blue, brown, yellow and green.  So, I picked out the papers from DCWV (Blossoms and Butterflies).  It had all the colors she liked.  I used white cardstock for the base and for the sentiment.  I made some flowers from Fabric flowers from Michaels, then added some Prima blossoms and a plastic flower center (that I got in a rak).  Then I used some Prima leaves, punched out some MS Butterflies with the papers, and added some bling to them.  Stamped the sentiment with my Studio G stamps.  Added some Want2scrap pearl swirls.  Lastly, I added some dew drops.

I hope you all like my card.  I hope partner will like it too.

Thanks everyone for stopping by my blog.  If you have any questions please ask.  I love hearing from you all.

Have a day and Have a pleasant Holiday (Veterans Day) too...

Thanksgiving Cards 2011

Hi everyone, Happy Sunday!! I wanted to share with you all my Thanksgiving cards for this year.  As many of you know that I make 10 cards for every Holiday from Halloween through 4th of July for family and friends.  It's like clockwork every year.  I also make birthday cards in between it all.  Then I make Invitations for my kids birthdays and that could very from 15 - 30 invites.  Yikes!!  So, I wanted to get these cards over with so I could finish up my flower and card swap and then I have a cigar box swap I'm doing with a friend. I have already done 2 flowers so, I just have to do the other two and the card in which I already picked out the papers for it.  The cigar box will take up most of my time since I have never done one before and I don't even have the papers for it.  uggghhh!!   I have a ton of ideas going through my head about that box.  The theme we picked out was "Christams" (our interpretation of it).  I'm not sure what direction I will take it yet but I hope it Rocks... LOL... We will see.  Here is my card (Finally I know) lol:

Another simple card.  I hope you all like it.

Thank you all for stopping by and taking a look.  I hope to post something next week.

Fabric Flowers I'm making for a Swap...

Hi everyone, I hope you guys are enjoying your Sunday.  Can you believe that we had a dusting of snow this early in the year and it's in the 30's - Craziness...  Well, I hope it doesn't ruin Halloween for the kids.

Anyway, I wanted to share flowers I'm making for a swap I joined on Youtube.  Lilly also known as Nilianny on Youtube is hosting a Flower and Card swap.  It's an one on one swap.  I couldn't pass this up.  I thought it would be easy enough to do and make.  You have to make four (4) flowers and a card for your partner.  Easy right...  I thought so.  I wanted to make these fabric flowers that I saw Julie from Juliewaters74 on youtube make.  Here is the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=crtjrdbRbbs to her fabulous flowers and my picture of my flowers.

I love how these flowers turned out.  I used fabric from Joanns that I picked up recently and then lace from my stash.  Then I used a pearl brad center on one and a gold rose button on the other.  I hope my partner will like them too.  I have to make two more flowers but I'm wanting to make some paper rosettes with a twist.  I will show that one soon.

I will be altering a cigar box for an one on one swap with a friend on Myscraproom.ning.com. It will be a Xmas theme box.  I need to find pretty xmas paper for this box.  Any suggestions??

Well, thank you all for stopping by and taking a peek.  Have a fab rest of your weekend.

Take care, Friday

Halloween Treats for my Sweets!

Happy Friday, Everyone!!  I can't believe another month has come to a close and a step closer to Christmas. I'm so not ready for.  Time sure flies these days.  Anyway, I wanted to share my treats for my sweets this year.  At my Kids school, they dress up in their costume and parade around at their school.  I love it because you get more for your buck and every year I pass out treats for all their classmates.  Next year, I do plan on making my packaging instead of buying them at Target.  However, I did make my tags for the treats.  Then tied them with Halloween ribbon and viola... Halloween Treats... Take a peek...

This year is very simple.  I used my Ek Success punch (first time using) out orange cardstock.  Stamped with Studio G Halloween stamps (which fits perfectly on this tag).  Inked the edges with my Colobox Blk ink.  Filled the bags with candy - Done!!  Very Simple.  My daugther loves to write her name on the back of the tags.  My son will do it next year (I hope)... LOL..

I hope you all like it.  I will be sharing some flowers I'm making for a swap real soon.  Come back and take a peek.

Have a Great Weekend!  Take Care...

Halloween 2011

Hi Everyone!!  Happy Friday!  Can you believe it?  I have done 5 posts in a row.  I'm so proud of myself but don't expect it for long.  I won't last long...  I must of found my mojo somewhere along the way. LOL!!  Anyway, I am working on my Halloween cards for this year and I wanted to show you all.  I think I have a winner but I also think it's missing something, maybe you guys can let me know if I need something extra or not, OK?  Here is my card so far:

Ok, I used regular White Cardstock from my stash to make this scene.  I mounted it with purple and orange cardstock.  I cased this idea from two cards I seen on Splitcoaststampers.  I'm so sorry I can't remember their names but I'll try to post them on here when I do.  I had an Inkadinkado stamp of the witch.  I punched out a post-it note circle to mask the moon. Used my SU Ink pads with a finger dobber (pumpkin spice and lavender lace).  Then I used my Distress Ink - Black soot to make it all ere.  I love how this turned out.  I finally used my Martha Stewart edge punch - gate.  Lastly, I used my Lovely as a Tree stamp set from SU for the background.

So, Do you guys think I need to add anything to it?  Let me know.

Thanks for stopping by and checking it out.  Have a great day and a wonderful weekend.

Take care, Friday

Birthday Card

Hi everyone, here I go again. hehe!! I wanted to share a birthday card I made for my Son's classmate.  Her birthday party is this Saturday and I just had to make her a card.  It's even a Halloween Costume Birthday Party.  How cool is that?  My Son gets to use his costume more than once. That's awesome to me.  So, here is the card.

So, I used some papers I bought at Target that was really girly.  I also used a glittery flower frame from Colobox.  Added some pink lace from my stash.  The Sentiment was from Michaels stamped in SU pixie pink ink.  That was it.  It's a really simple card.  My kind of card.  lol.:-)

Thanks everyone for stopping by and taking a peek.  Take Care!

Pumpkin Festival

Hi everyone,  Happy Columbus Day!!  It is sure an Awesome day to pick pumpkins.  The kids and my hubby had the day off today and we thought we go to the place we go every year at this time.  It's a Pumpkin Festival in Maryland.  They have hayrides, face painting, pony rides, cornstalk mazes, and yummy pumpkin pies (my favorite).  I have few pictures to share with you.  Check it out.

I know this looks gross but I just had to share this.  This is what we came across this visit.  It wasn't a pleasing sight nor a pleasing smell.  Nonetheless, we still were able to pick a few nice looking pumpkins.  These were all over the place, YUCK!!  I hope you all have better luck.

Thanks for stopping by, Everyone.  Have a great holiday.

My First Banner

Hi everyone, Its me again.  I'm on a roll this weekend.  Two projects crossed off my list of to dos... LOL!!  I wanted to share my very first banner ever... Now, I have done a letter banner swap but this is my first actual banner made for my friends daughter.  I used the colors and inspiration from her bedding my friend told me.  I went from there.  Check it out...

Ok, I used the scallop mini album that I got from Michaels and covered it with some recollection baby boy pattern paper.  I used Blue,Green and Chocolate Bazzil cardstock.  I also use chipboard coasters from Michaels too.  The pattern on the bedding is like a mosaic and I mimic it in the banner.  I used a embossing folder from Cuttlebug to embossing the squares.  I borrowed my friends Cricut to cut out the letters out from the Bazzil cardstock.  I bought some puffies star stickers from KI Memories at Michaels.  I thought it went perfectly with the banner.  Lastly, I used some chocolate and white polka dot silk ribbon and my white exlarge eyelets to finish it off.

I just love this banner and I hope my friends daughter will love it too.

Thanks everyone for stopping by today and have a wonderful Sunday!

A Dino Thank you(s)

Hi Everyone, How is everyone's weekend going so far?  My weekend is going pretty well.  My daughter and I went to a birthday party this afternoon.  She had a blast jumping and sliding down these huge moon bounces.  It was called "Pump It Up".  It is quit similar like the place I held my Son's birthday.  Anywho, I wanted to share my thank you cards for my Son's birthday.  I'm so late getting these out but I just didn't know what to make or how.  Here is the card...

I used a free image from the internet.  I did that cuz I didn't want to buy more stickers.  Saving some money. LOL...  I bought some embossed felt from Joanns that I thought looked like lizard skin.  I just wish they had them in green... Oh well.  I stamped the "Thanks" with my Studio G cling stamps I got at Michaels on sale.  I mounted the picture on cardstock.  Inked the edges with SU Chocolate Chip ink.  Cut out the thanks with my Deckle scissors (I have been using that a lot lately).  Added some jute rope for some interest.  Lastly poked a hole with my cropadile and added an eyelet.  Then ran some twine though.  There is my finished card.  I just have to write in it and put it in envies and I'm finally done.  Yay for me.

Thank you everyone for stopping by and taking a peek.  Have a great Holiday Weekend.

8th Anniversary

Hi Everyone, I hope you all had a great weekend.  Do any of you ever have one of those days when you just totally forget your anniversary?  I didn't forget my anniversary per say, I just forgot to make a card for my hubby.  Yikes!!  So, I after I picked up my kids from school I made a quick card for him.  It's been 8 long years... Just Kidding... We are happy as can be.  He is my biggest fan and my hero.  Happy Anniversary, Hun!!
So, today I had errands galore, when I drove by my nearest Tuesday Morning.  I thought, hey, I'll just stop for a peek and see what they have new.  Well, I stumbled across paper packs from Colorbok.  They were only $1.99 ea  for 20 sheets of papers, a sheet of stickers and cutouts.  What a deal!!  So, I bought two packs.  LOL... You never know when you will come across that deal again.  I know I'm terrible. hehe!!

Supplies:
Black and Ivory cardstock from my stash
Colobok pattern papers
Heart, mini hearts, label punches from SU
EK Success punch
Cuttlebug embossing folder:  Swirls

Altered Coffin Box

Hello Everyone, Happy Friday!!  I thought I would share another project with you all since I have already mailed to my partner for a swap I'm in.  I had joined a Halloween TP Mini Album swap over at Myscraproom.ning.com.  It is Hosted by Yvonne also known as Scrapbliss.   I know you don't see the mini and only this coffin.  It's because I didn't take any pictures of it. LOL!!  I will upload the video on it soon to show you the mini.  So, stay tuned.

I used a coffin box from Michaels.  I painted it with the Folk Art Metallic Sequin Black inside and out.  I added some black lace from my stash and purple velvet ribbon from Joanns.  I then added some cross bones stickers to the seam.  On top of the box, I popped dotted a journal tag (that looks like a frame) from Recollections, added a big sparkly spider and another cross bones I got at Target.  That's it. I hope my partner likes this box and the mini I made for her.

Thanks everyone for stopping by.  Have a Great day!!

Hello Everyone, this post has nothing to do with crafting.  I'm sorry.  I had to share my new toy with you all.  I'm so new to all the new cell phones out there it's not even funny.  We just weren't ready until now.  Well, we didn't really have a choice when my cell phone just stopped working all together.  I couldn't even charge it up to turn on.  So, we had to look for a phone for me asap.  I'm happy to say I'm a proud owner of a Droid Incredible 2 from Verizon.  It's a sorta recent phone but you know technology it will always be obsolete.  I'm perfectly ok with a phone on the 3G network verses the 4G network.  If you are a veteran of cell phones you will know what I mean.  I'm still learning about this phone.  I just learned how to text quickly on my other phone and I know I have to start all over.  Here is a pic:

I bet you are all wondering why I have in the title "Phone or Camera".  Well, my birthday is this month and my hubby was planning on getting me an DSLR camera for my birthday.  I was so excited.  I have struggled with my current camera for 3 years now and I'm fed up with point and shoot cameras.  My kids are getting bigger and I need a better camera to capture every moment but now that I got a smartphone, my camera will be a gift some other time. boo hoo!!  Oh well, I need a cell phone anyway especially for emergencies.

I hope to share some projects I have been working on with you all real soon.  Have a great Wednesday!

Dino Birthday Invites!

Hey Everyone, I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend.  It's been busy for me.  I'm getting ready for my son's 4th birthday Party coming up really soon.  I had to get the invites finish to be mailed to family and friends.  Also for his close classmates from school.  Birthdays are always so stressful for me.  This year the theme is Dinosaurs.  He loves them from watching Dino Dan on Nick Jr.  Here is my card:

It's just a simple invites.  It sure would of been a lot cheaper if I had the cricut but my son actually found these dimensional stickers at our local AcMoore store when they were on sale.  I had to buy several of them for his invites.  I hand cut the sentiment to look like torn wood.  I think I got it right. LOL!!

What little boy doesn't love dinosaurs, Right?  He gave me a thumbs up on my card... He is so cute.

Thanks for stopping by... I will have more to share real soon.

Have a great Sunday!  Take care.

It's a Boy!

Hi Everyone!!  No, I'm not pregnant... No more for me... LOL!!  I wanted to share a baby boy card I made for my girlfriend's daughter's new baby.  I'm going to a baby shower today and I had to make her a card.  I'm not finish with her banner I have been working on but I will give it to her some other time.  Well, before the baby is born in October.  This is my first banner and I want to be perfect for her baby's room.  Anyway, her my card.

Here are the supplies I used:

Cardstock:  Bazzil Blue and Green
Pattern:  Recollections baby boy paper pack
Ribbon:  Baby blue gingham and fussy ric-rac from my stash
Punches:  Scallop Circle, 1 and 1-1/4 inch circle from Creative Memories

Thanks everyone for stopping by and checking it out.  I will be coming back with a Dino birthday invite and hopefully my banner.  Come back soon.

Happy Labor Day!!

Happy Labor Day, Everyone!!  I hope you all are enjoying your Labor Day weekend.  I know I haven't posted in awhile but it's been crazy busy with kids and school.  Today is a good day to relax and enjoy life.  My daughter and hubby has the day off and we are planning a family outing today.  Who knows what that may be...maybe to the zoo or going to a picnic but whatever we do we will be together.

Tomorrow my son will have his first day of PreK-4 this year.  He is so excited about it and I'm excited for him.  Well for me too.  I'll have a break in the morning. Yay!!

I will have some projects to share soon.  I have a baby boy name banner, Halloween TP mini for a swap, Birthday Dino Invitations, Altered Rolodex card for friends and lastly an Anniversary card.  So, please come back soon to check them all out.
