Cards with some Good friends!!

Hi Everyone,
I had the chance to visit with Yvette (DailyScrapper) and Yvonne (Scrapbliss) yesterday.
We chatted, snacked, and did a little bit of crafting. LOL!
You know what we all do when we get together.  Hehe!!
We had a blast as usual.  We need to do this more often Ladies!! :D

Well, here is my two cards I made while I was there.

Here are two A2 size cards.  Very simple and I added some sequins to add some bling without the bulk.  I truly love how these cards turned out.  I will be using sequins more and more on my cards.
The paper I used Studio G paper I got from Walmart.  I used dies from my collection.  I used a sentiment from Whimsical Designs set called Everyday Sentiments.  I'm not sure if they are available.
The happy birthday is from a Studio G stamp I got at Michaels.
Lastly, sequins is from the Dollar Tree and Joanns.

Thanks everyone for stopping by today.
Please come back.  I hope to have a DIY Flip It card to share.

Back from Vacation!

Hi my crafty friends,
I'm back from vacation with family.  It wasn't a relaxing one but an assisting and helping out vacation.
Both sides of our families are getting old so it's hard to enjoy when others are not well.
We knew what we were getting into and the kids just wanted to spend time with grandparents and cousins most of all.

Anyway, I'm here with a card I made for my Mother-in-law.  I didn't have any crafting stuff there so I had to wait till we got home this weekend.

Here it is:

I used some of Tatiana's Gorgeous fabric flowers she made.  Thanks Tatiana!
Visit her page on Facebook called Created By Tatiana.
If you are interested in her flowers click on the above.  Thanks.

Products I used:
Flowers:  From Tatiana
Pattern Paper:  Crate Paper "Pretty Party"
Cardstock:  Recollections 110lb White Cardstock
Dies:  Spellbinders Floral Ovals
Punches: Martha Stewart Butterflies and leaf Punches
Bling/Pearls:  Michaels bling and pearls
Sentiment: Fiskars Cling "Birthday Cheer"

This is a 5x5 size card.  I layered pattern paper, flowers, leaves, banners (I cut myself).  Punched/die cut die and punches with cardstock and pattern paper.  Added some bling and pearls.  Stamped sentiment with Stamin Up "Apricot Appeal".  It's a retired stamp pad.  I also decorated the inside with just some pattern paper.

That's it.  What do you all think?  I just love how the flowers add to my card.

Thanks again, Tatiana for the Gorgeous Flowers.  I can't wait to use the others.

Creative Color Challenge #13

Hi Everyone,
I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend and especially Sunday/Father's Day.
We had an extremely relaxing weekend even through it was busy with Taekwondo Belt Ceremony on Saturday.  After that, we found sometime to enjoy some music at a Blues Festival.   We enjoyed some funnel cake, Mexican and Mediterranean food and cool refreshing drinks.
Win Win!!  It was exactly what my hubby wanted to do.

As far as my Dad, I do miss him a lot.  They are now living in California and it's hard for us to visit as often as we would like.  We do call them and sometimes skype.
LOVE you DAD!!

Today I'm here with another Creative Color Challenge #13 for you all.
Archana wanted to try something different for her team this week.  She asked us to come up with a color pallet and challenge.  We all happily agreed.
This week Claudia had a great color pallet and challenge for us.

Here is Claudia's color pallet for us:
Vanilla, Mint Green and White

We also had to add a butterflies.

Our sponsor this week is Lacysunshine.

I chose the digi called lupita:
 Simply Adorable!
Thank you Lacy Sunshine.  I had a hard time choosing. They are all so cute.

Now here is my card:

I trying my very best to add flowers to my cards.  I'm not very good at but as do it more I will get it sooner or later.

The base is a 5x5 size card.  I'm not sure how I'm going to mail it out but its bigger than that with the butterflies and circle extending out.  I used pattern paper from Crate Paper called " Oh Darling".  I also use the same paper for the butterflies.  I cut out the butterflies with my new Tim Holtz on the edge die called "Butterflight".  I have seen other ladies use this die this way so I had to try it out on this card.  I then added some white crochet and ribbon trim on the top, below the butterflies.  I colored my image with my copics (if you want to know the colors let me know by commenting down below).  I cut her out with my new Diemond Dies Nesting Circles die set.  I love this set as it has 20 dies total and they perfect for layering and matting.  Now for my flower arrangement.  I used some crochet doiles from Nica (Simplyshimmeryscraps).  I cut out some mint green swirls from Cheery Lynn dies called Fanciful Flourish mini.  I cut them up and tucked them here and there.  I added some white, pink, and cream flowers that I got from my friend Divine (itsalldivine).  Then I added some white ribbon rolled flowers from Michaels.  I distress the edges with vintage photo distress ink.  Lastly, I add some pearl trim for the antenna for the butterflies.

I truly enjoy making this card and I hope you all like as well.  Stop on by Creative Color Challenge's Blog to enter in on the fun.  Plus check out the other design team members creations too.  They are all amazing.

Have a great Tuesday and the rest of your week.

Creative Color Challenge #11

Hi Everyone,
I'm back with another design team card for Creative Color Challenge's blog.  I can't believe how fast summer is approaching and school will be ending.  So, for this challenge I created a card for my daughter's teacher for the end of school year.

This week we had to use the colors from the picture below:

And we had to include a stickpin.   I had to bust out my beads and stickpins to make some.

I use an image called "Occupation Bear Teacher" from our wonderful sponsor:
Bugaboostamps

Here is my card I created for this week's challenge:

Isn't he sweet?  I just love him. I colored him with my copics.  Its a 5x5 size card.  The paper I used are from WE R Memory Keepers - On The Record.  This paper went with the image and the color challenge perfectly.  I punched out a notebook edge to one of the papers with my Fiskars punch.  I cut 1-1/2 stripes of the pattern paper to make the rosette.  I punched out a banner with my new tiny punches from Fiskars.  Stamped "best" with my Studio G clear stamps.  Added a satin rosette in the center of the paper rosette from Michaels.  Stamped "teacher" with my Imaginisce "Best Teacher" Stamp.  I got that stamp a long time ago at Micheals.  Made a stick pin with beads and pin from my stash.

That's it.  I hope you all enjoy my card and please stop by Creative Color Challenge blog to join in on the fun.

Also stop by the blog to check out the other design team members creations.  I'm in an incredible group.

Thanks everyone for stopping by today.  Please come back again for another challenge DT card.

Easter 2014

Hi my crafty friends,
Today is the first of spring break for my son.  I have somethings planned for him and he doesn't even know it.  Hehe!!  It's going to be another beautiful day here.

Here is my Easter Card for this year.  As you may know I live in Northern Virginia near DC.  In the spring the cherry blossoms bloom at the Tidal Basin in DC.  We go every year since my daughter was born, so nine (9) years and still going.  Check it out...

If you follow me on Instagram and Facebook, you probably have seen pictures of the cherry blossom image and felt bow.  I watercolor the image and added some glitter glue to the center of the flowers.  You can't see it because of my old camera.  But believe it's there. I backed the image with paper from Recollections called Grey Mini Dots from Michaels.   I used the MFT Dienamic - dainty bows I got on-line with pink and grey felt from Michaels.  I used another Recollection papers called Itsy Bitsy Ditsy Cherry Pie.  It went perfect.  Lastly I stamped a sentiment from Studio G stamps in Memento London Fog.  Punched it out with my CM circle punch and EK Success 1-1/2 scallop circle punch.

Love it - Don't you?  I want to watercolor more.  I bought the Artist Loft watercolor pallet from Michaels.  I want to get the pearlescent ones soon.

Thanks everyone for stopping by today.  Please come back tomorrow for my Design Team card for April 15th Creative Color Challenge.

Tropical Birthday Card

Hello my crafty friends,
Today is very cold and I'm thinking of warm weather would be fantastic right now.
So, my sister's birthday is today.  I know I'm late again.  I don't know why that is always the case with me.  She lives in Hawaii for right now.  Soon she too will be moving to the Mainland to be near my Mom and Dad.

Here is her card I have made for her:
As you can see I had to use Lina's Sophie image from Sweet Nothings.  I colored her with my copics.  (I will have the breakdown listed below). The paper I used is an old stack I got a long time ago when I visited California and meet Gina (Scrappinology).  It's called Citronella from KandCo.  It's bright colors and reminds of Hawaii.  I used a wood embellishment from Recollections.  I added burlap trim, twine, natural rickrack, buttons from my stash.  The sentiment is a dollar stamp from Michaels.  I punched it out with my EK Success punch.  I also used some Crochet flower and Butterfly from Tatiana (Created by Tatiana on Facebook).  Love her creations.
Inside, I used a stamp that my sister gave me a long time ago.  It's a plumeria stamp.  Love it.  Added some the paper on the bottom along with some rickrack and button to finish it off.

The copic colors I used are:
Skin:  E000, E00, E21, E31, and E51
Hair:   E33, E35, E37
Cheek:  R20
Outfit, Bow and Ball:  R32, R37, R35, YR21, YR24, Y38 (I found blending the YR and Y colors togethers made an awesome combo).

Thanks everyone for stopping by today,
I hope you all like my card.

Please if you have questions on my cards please comment below.

Thanks,

First card of the Year!

Hi my friends,
Today is a rainy and overcast kind of day here in Virgnia.  At least it's not 7 degrees outside like Tuesday Weather was... brrr.
So, it was the perfect day to work on some invites for my daughter's 9th birthday party.  It's in two weeks so I had to get moving on these.

WHAT, 9th Birthday Party!!
I can't believe that my first born will be 9 years old.  Craziness.
So, this year she wanted to do a spa party.  The only thing that I could find around here was a pedicure party for her and her friends.  It could of been a manicure but she goes to a private school that does not allow nail polish on their nails.  Plus, most of her friends go to a private school too.  It's a pedicure party!

Here is her invite:

It's a simple and sparkly!
I found pink and black glitter paper (Pink from Michaels and Black from Target).  I found a polish die from on-line.  It was a Ellison thin-lit die.  I can't remember where I bought it (probably on eBay).  It also has a lipstick shape too but I didn't need that for the invite.  I cut the polish with my Bigshot (my trusty friend).  Add a polka dot ribbon at the top and done!...  The polish took the most time to make.

Thanks, everyone for stopping by today.
I will back soon with a valentines project with some gorgeous crochet embellies!

Have a great Saturday!!

Hugs,
Tereese (Friday)

Hey Dude!

Hi Everyone,
I know what you are saying "What another post?" :-)
This one is a birthday card I made for my brother.  His birthday was yesterday... I know, I'm late.
But it's better late than never, Right?   LOL!!

So, I had to make a masculine card... You know how I loath them.
I'm not very good at them but I do my best.
I used one of my The Greeting Farm Stamps called Special Autumn.
This is the first time I colored a male image and I think I did pretty good.
It was really simple since I paper pieced his outfit.  LOL!!

Here is my card:

Inside
I'm loving these stamps from TGF...  They are so easy to color and I love how proportionate he is. LOL!

I finally busted out my Graphic 45 - Proper Gentermen collection.  This another A2 card.  I used the Spellbinders - Label 1 dies.  I don't know what brand the denium paper.  sorry!  I used the the Sentiment from the Greeting Farm - My Guy Ian.  Then I used the sentiment from Whimsical Designs from the Everyday Sentiments set inside the card.  Lastly, I added some Recollection bling from Michaels.

I think he will like this card.  He may not like his hair... hehe!!

**  Let's not forget the Whimsical Designs Weekly Challenge is Tomorrow.  Please stop by and enter for a great prize. **

I hope you all enjoy this card...  and Yes, I will be back tomorrow.
Have a Great Tuesday, Everyone!!

Hi Everyone, I thought I would share a super quick card I made for Another Birthday Party my kids were invited to.  I only had an hour to do make this card so it was super quick.

I used some K&Company paper from "Young Girl Flowers".  I believe  it's a Tim Coffey design.  Its pretty old paper I have had in my stash for some time.  I also used a Studio G stamps from Michaels.  I used a premade card from AcMoore.  Buttons and glitter glue from my stash.

Viola, card is born! hehe!!

Anyway, I want to wish everyone a happy Sunday and hope to be back soon with another project.

Black & White Copic Challenge!

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to share a card I made for Jo's (Paperdrama) and Rina's (Scrapstress) Copic Challenge on youtube just to see if I could do it.  Since I have never done this before.  I wanted to practice more with my slowly growing Copic marker collection.  So, I gave it my first try.  I really like how it turned out.  It was certainly a challenge for me.  hehe!!

Here is my Card:

I used the "Puddles of Love" Gorjuss Girl Stamps for my image since I don't own any of the Greeting Farm stamps.  I really love this image.  I used the following copics C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C7, and C9.

I then used Recollection papers from Michaels.  Lace and Flatback Pearls from my stash.

I know I love it.  There are mistakes on the coloring (in her boots)... LOL!!

Anyway, thank you so much for stopping by today.

I hope you enjoyed my card.

Pink Birthday Card

Hi Everyone,

I'm back with a Pink but Simple Card for yet another Birthday Party.  It seems we have one every Saturday this Month.  We have gone to Ice Skating Rink, now a Miniature Golf and next party will be at a local Gymnastic facility.

Well, it's good now that it seems the Weather is finally settling out with warmth. :-)

Here is the card:

Like I said it's quite simple but for a little girl it's just right.  My daughter said she loves pink and I found some paper I got in a rak awhile back.  I thought it would work out perfectly.  I don't know what paper collection this is from.

I added some cherry blossoms flowers that I had received from friends and again my Martha Stewart leaf punch.  Love that punch.  Added some Pink satin ribbon and tied it with my bow easy.  Punched out a scallop circle with my SU punches.  Popped dotted it with the bling 7 that I got from Michaels.

I hope you all like my 5x5 card.  My daugther told me what she wanted on the card.  I think she did good.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you all enjoy your Mother's Day or celebrating Mother's Day with your Mom's tomorrow.

Hugs,

A 7th Butterfly Birthday

Hi Everyone,

I thought I would share a card made for one of my daugther's classmates.  This month in May we are going to a lot of birthdays that my kids are invite to.  So, I will be making several cards just for them.

This card I busted out my SEI Chocolate papers.  It's an old collection but one of my favs.  Love the pinks and browns in this collection and the butterflies are just too cute and perfect for the little girl that's receiving it.

I busted out my bow easy template and made a double bow.  It's too cute.  I also used the MS Monarch butterfly punch to go with the papers.  I stamped "Happy Birthday" from my My Sentiments Exactly Birthday set.  It has lots of different fonts which I love.  I then used a Crystal Sticker Monogram number 7 from Michaels.  I punched out a scallop circle from some paper from my stash.

We will be going to Michaels here in VA for the party.  How appropriate and I can't wait to shop while we are there for the party. :)

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a peek.

Have a great Friday and a Wonderful weekend to you all.

April Birthday Card

Hi Everyone,
I wanted to share a cute little card I made for my Daugther's friend.  She is having a birthday party tomorrow and I had to make her a card that goes with her present.

My daughter told me she loves Ariel from the Disney Movie "The Little Mermaid".  Now who doesn't love her because I'm a big Disney Fan myself.  So, I had to buy an EK Success stickers from Michaels the other day and they were on Sale - even better!

So, here is my card.  I hope you all like it as much as I do.

I just love this card.  I used come Recollection Music Note paper for the background.  I used a Martha Stewart Punch for the water.  Yeap!  It's a border punch from MS.  I don't know the name of this punch but here is a picture of it.

I was looking at my punches hanging on a shoe hanger and that punch reminded me of water.  I really love how it turned out.  I hand cut out a rock from crackle paper I got from Michaels.  The sticker looked like she was sitting on something.

I hope you all like my card.  Thanks for taking the time to visit me today.

Have a Great weekend.

Hugs,

Friday

Gorjuss Birthday Card

Hi everyone, I wanted to share a birthday card I made for my Niece.  It's so overdue but I'm glad I finally finished it for her.  Her birthday was beginning of April.  I'm better late than never Right? hehe!. I hope she likes it.  I still have to go get a gift card for her.  So she wont get this till next week.  Sorry, Jaz...

So, this is a 5-1/2 by 5-1/2 card.  I love making this size of a card.  I used the Teresa Collins World Traveler 6x6 design paper I got at Michaels.  I stamped, copic colored and paper pieced my new Gorjuss Girl Stamps - Rose.  I have been coloring several of them and now I need to use them on cards or something. lol!  I cut out banners with the coordinating paper.  Added black seam binding I got at the convention last year.  I know I'm finally using it.  Using some old prima printed flowers from my stash.  Added a black button from my stash as well.  I cut out a banner from my new Shapeabilities Ribbon Banners set that I got at Joanns.  Stamped "Birthday Blessings" from My Sentiments Exactly in black Colorbox ink.  Inked the edges too.

I popped dotted the banner with sentiment, one of the banners and the Gorjuss Girl.

I hope you all like it.  Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Have a great weekend

MSR Challenge

Hi Everyone, I thought I would share my take on Gina's Challenge over at My Scraproom.ning.com.  She is doing a challenge every week weather it's a card sketch or an altered item.  All her challenges are pretty cool and worth trying out.  She is also graciously rewarding the participants with some awesome goodies.  If you are not a member you should.

This weeks challenge is to alter a basket with her template.  Here is my version:

It's so cute and I have already suggested to do this for my Son's Prek class for Easter.  Too cute.  You could fit an easter egg in it.

I used some of the paper from American Crafts - Ala Carte.  I bought a bunch of it so why not, right?! lol.  I used some prima and Michaels baby flowers, pink lace, pearls, ribbon from my stash.  That's its.  Adorable.  I will have a video uploaded soon.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peak.

Have a great Friday and Weekend!
Please check out Myscraproom.ning.com for challenges and swaps.

An Easter Card

Hi everyone, I'm here today to share an Easter Card I'm trying out.  I'm not sure if this will be my Easter Cards for this year.  I like it but I'm not sure.

Here it is:
I layered a paper doily (I got from an Irish Pub, lol), lace and trim.  Used my Spellbinders die - Floral Doily Motifs.  Cut out circles from my Creative Memories Circles templates and punches.  Got the paper from Michaels.  It's from American Crafts - a la Carte (Love this paper when I saw it).  Stamped "Happy Easter" from a Studio G stamp set.  Added pearls to the die cut and on the banner.  That's it.

What do you all think?  Is it good enough to send out or is there something missing?  I'm on the fence.

Thanks guys for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you all are having a wonderful Wednesday.

Yarn Swirl Flowers

Hey guys, I had an idea on using some yarn I bought at Michaels.  They look like the Bakers Twine everyone is buying.  Well, I didn't have any at the time so I improvise and bought some yarn that looks exactly like them.  Just the other day I thought of a way to use them besides Bakers Twine.  I thought they would make beautiful Swirl Flowers.  I have made fabric ones and satin ones but never this kind.

Here is a picture of them:
I'm not sure if I'm the first to make these but they came to me this morning while I was putting my scrappy stuff away.  Like I aways do and it's a total pain in the butt.  I had some green, red and plain ivory yarn and this is what I came up with.  I used some dainty lace I had in my stash along with buttons and bling for the centers.  I think that are adorable.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Have a Great Friday and Weekend!

Handmade Pleated Trim

Hi Everyone, I hope everyone had a great weekend.  I had a great time with friends shopping.  A must needed trip to Scrappy stores.

Today I wanted to share something I just created with the help of a video I saw on Youtube this morning.  OMG!!  Handmade Boxed Pleated Trim. I love the store bought ones but you know I'm also a hands on kind of person and when I saw this I had to try.  I have a ton of polyester ribbon and this would come in hand when you don't have the right color trim for your projects.  Love it.

Here is a of my trims:

What do you all think?  It's from the Celebrate Basic Polyester Ribbon from Michaels.  They are 5/8 inch ribbon and I love it.

Here is the Supplies you need:
That's it.  Can you believe it.  It's a little consuming but the end results are so worth it.
Here is the Link to Leonie on Youtube.  Thank you Leonie for the Awesome tutorial.  It was so easy to follow along.  Enjoy and create some yourself.

Thanks guys for stopping by today.  I will have a couple of birthday cards to share real soon.  As for the book box, I will share that probably at the end of the month.  I'm doing a swap and I want the recipient to get it first.  I hope you all can wait until then.  :0)

Have a Great day!

St. Patrick's Day Card

Oh my, It's been so long since I made something and post it.  So Sorry guys.  My creativity has gone dry and I'm trying to get back into it after I got sick.  I have been shopping on-line though.  Shame on me!  hehe!  I bought some new Quickuts dies from Scrapbuck.com.   I found a Shamrock die on their site and bought amongest other dies and goodies.  You can see what I bought on my Scrapbuck Haul Video on Youtube.  So this was the first time using these dies and I was pleasantly surprise that they cut so well (Like butter).

Here is my card:
I bought some really inexpensive adhesive felt shamrock from Joanns and I knew I wanted to use them too on my card.  So I layered them onto each other.  I used some Spellbinders dies, bling and buttons from my stash.  I don't own any twine so I found some twine looking yarn from Mikes the other day.  I used that.  I used some Recollection shamrock paper from Mikes as well.  Layered it with some green cardstock on a white cardstock base.  Simple but time consuming. lol!!

I hope you all like it and thanks for stopping by my blog.

Have an Awesome Friday!!

Take care, Friday
