Teacher Appreciation Gifts 2014

Hi Friends,
I'm back again with another project.  This time it's a really quick gift for my kids teacher.  I almost forgot to make something for them this year.  Like I do every year it's always a mad dash to finish and make something for them.

I found this on Pinterest and I had to try it.

Here it is:

This are acrylic mason jars with lids and straws.  I got them at my local AcMoore for 4.99 each.  It was a deal considering Target was 9.99 each.  I just added some ribbon.  I cut out some apples with my spellbinders nestibilities and printed out "You're an Uh-Mason Teacher" from my computer on cream cardstock from my stash.  I just love it.   Inside the mason jars I added some Easter grass and some candies from Target.

I think they will like it.  I thought it was pretty cute and clever.  What do you think?

Thanks everyone for stopping by today.
TGIF!!

Have a great day and enjoy your weekend.

First card of the Year!

Hi my friends,
Today is a rainy and overcast kind of day here in Virgnia.  At least it's not 7 degrees outside like Tuesday Weather was... brrr.
So, it was the perfect day to work on some invites for my daughter's 9th birthday party.  It's in two weeks so I had to get moving on these.

WHAT, 9th Birthday Party!!
I can't believe that my first born will be 9 years old.  Craziness.
So, this year she wanted to do a spa party.  The only thing that I could find around here was a pedicure party for her and her friends.  It could of been a manicure but she goes to a private school that does not allow nail polish on their nails.  Plus, most of her friends go to a private school too.  It's a pedicure party!

Here is her invite:

It's a simple and sparkly!
I found pink and black glitter paper (Pink from Michaels and Black from Target).  I found a polish die from on-line.  It was a Ellison thin-lit die.  I can't remember where I bought it (probably on eBay).  It also has a lipstick shape too but I didn't need that for the invite.  I cut the polish with my Bigshot (my trusty friend).  Add a polka dot ribbon at the top and done!...  The polish took the most time to make.

Thanks, everyone for stopping by today.
I will back soon with a valentines project with some gorgeous crochet embellies!

Have a great Saturday!!

Happy Valentines Day, Everyone!

Hi Everyone,

I hope everyone is enjoying the day of LOVE with your families!!  I usually love this day but since I was sick to me right now, it's just another day. :)
I did want to share an altered gift to my kids Teachers this year.
Here is the before picture:
I thought this would be appropriate for their teachers, right?  It's a chocolate apple.  Hehe!!  Cute, huh!!  Well, I thought so.

Here they are all decorated:

Yay, I used my crochet hearts... I love them so much. It was hard to give them up.

My kids have two teachers in each class.  So, that's why I had to do 4 of them.  Which was so much fun to.  I hope they like them.

What I did was I used some paper Colorbok papers from Target that I just found Yesterday.  Then I hot glue some pretty pink lace at the top from my stash.  I punched out a cute border on the bottom with my Martha Stuart Punch (that I got from Yvonne aka Scrapbliss).  Loving this punch because its so dainty and adorable. Thanks, Yvonne.   Added my crochet Heart with a pearl brad in the center.  Punched out a to and from with my EK Success punch from Joanns.  Lastly, added a Prima flower and red ribbon for a handle.

I thought they came out so super cute.  I usually altered the mailboxes from Target but by the time I got there they were all sold out. boo hoo!  Oh well, I like these better.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Have a Great and Loving day!!

Take care, Hugs!

Halloween Treats for my Sweets!

Happy Friday, Everyone!!  I can't believe another month has come to a close and a step closer to Christmas. I'm so not ready for.  Time sure flies these days.  Anyway, I wanted to share my treats for my sweets this year.  At my Kids school, they dress up in their costume and parade around at their school.  I love it because you get more for your buck and every year I pass out treats for all their classmates.  Next year, I do plan on making my packaging instead of buying them at Target.  However, I did make my tags for the treats.  Then tied them with Halloween ribbon and viola... Halloween Treats... Take a peek...

This year is very simple.  I used my Ek Success punch (first time using) out orange cardstock.  Stamped with Studio G Halloween stamps (which fits perfectly on this tag).  Inked the edges with my Colobox Blk ink.  Filled the bags with candy - Done!!  Very Simple.  My daugther loves to write her name on the back of the tags.  My son will do it next year (I hope)... LOL..

I hope you all like it.  I will be sharing some flowers I'm making for a swap real soon.  Come back and take a peek.

Have a Great Weekend!  Take Care...

Birthday Card

Hi everyone, here I go again. hehe!! I wanted to share a birthday card I made for my Son's classmate.  Her birthday party is this Saturday and I just had to make her a card.  It's even a Halloween Costume Birthday Party.  How cool is that?  My Son gets to use his costume more than once. That's awesome to me.  So, here is the card.

So, I used some papers I bought at Target that was really girly.  I also used a glittery flower frame from Colobox.  Added some pink lace from my stash.  The Sentiment was from Michaels stamped in SU pixie pink ink.  That was it.  It's a really simple card.  My kind of card.  lol.:-)

Thanks everyone for stopping by and taking a peek.  Take Care!

Altered Coffin Box

Hello Everyone, Happy Friday!!  I thought I would share another project with you all since I have already mailed to my partner for a swap I'm in.  I had joined a Halloween TP Mini Album swap over at Myscraproom.ning.com.  It is Hosted by Yvonne also known as Scrapbliss.   I know you don't see the mini and only this coffin.  It's because I didn't take any pictures of it. LOL!!  I will upload the video on it soon to show you the mini.  So, stay tuned.

I used a coffin box from Michaels.  I painted it with the Folk Art Metallic Sequin Black inside and out.  I added some black lace from my stash and purple velvet ribbon from Joanns.  I then added some cross bones stickers to the seam.  On top of the box, I popped dotted a journal tag (that looks like a frame) from Recollections, added a big sparkly spider and another cross bones I got at Target.  That's it. I hope my partner likes this box and the mini I made for her.

Thanks everyone for stopping by.  Have a Great day!!

Take care, Friday
