Fabric Flowers I'm making for a Swap...

Hi everyone, I hope you guys are enjoying your Sunday.  Can you believe that we had a dusting of snow this early in the year and it's in the 30's - Craziness...  Well, I hope it doesn't ruin Halloween for the kids.

Anyway, I wanted to share flowers I'm making for a swap I joined on Youtube.  Lilly also known as Nilianny on Youtube is hosting a Flower and Card swap.  It's an one on one swap.  I couldn't pass this up.  I thought it would be easy enough to do and make.  You have to make four (4) flowers and a card for your partner.  Easy right...  I thought so.  I wanted to make these fabric flowers that I saw Julie from Juliewaters74 on youtube make.  Here is the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=crtjrdbRbbs to her fabulous flowers and my picture of my flowers.

I love how these flowers turned out.  I used fabric from Joanns that I picked up recently and then lace from my stash.  Then I used a pearl brad center on one and a gold rose button on the other.  I hope my partner will like them too.  I have to make two more flowers but I'm wanting to make some paper rosettes with a twist.  I will show that one soon.

I will be altering a cigar box for an one on one swap with a friend on Myscraproom.ning.com. It will be a Xmas theme box.  I need to find pretty xmas paper for this box.  Any suggestions??

Well, thank you all for stopping by and taking a peek.  Have a fab rest of your weekend.

Take care, Friday

Halloween Treats for my Sweets!

Happy Friday, Everyone!!  I can't believe another month has come to a close and a step closer to Christmas. I'm so not ready for.  Time sure flies these days.  Anyway, I wanted to share my treats for my sweets this year.  At my Kids school, they dress up in their costume and parade around at their school.  I love it because you get more for your buck and every year I pass out treats for all their classmates.  Next year, I do plan on making my packaging instead of buying them at Target.  However, I did make my tags for the treats.  Then tied them with Halloween ribbon and viola... Halloween Treats... Take a peek...

This year is very simple.  I used my Ek Success punch (first time using) out orange cardstock.  Stamped with Studio G Halloween stamps (which fits perfectly on this tag).  Inked the edges with my Colobox Blk ink.  Filled the bags with candy - Done!!  Very Simple.  My daugther loves to write her name on the back of the tags.  My son will do it next year (I hope)... LOL..

I hope you all like it.  I will be sharing some flowers I'm making for a swap real soon.  Come back and take a peek.

Have a Great Weekend!  Take Care...

Halloween 2011

Hi Everyone!!  Happy Friday!  Can you believe it?  I have done 5 posts in a row.  I'm so proud of myself but don't expect it for long.  I won't last long...  I must of found my mojo somewhere along the way. LOL!!  Anyway, I am working on my Halloween cards for this year and I wanted to show you all.  I think I have a winner but I also think it's missing something, maybe you guys can let me know if I need something extra or not, OK?  Here is my card so far:

Ok, I used regular White Cardstock from my stash to make this scene.  I mounted it with purple and orange cardstock.  I cased this idea from two cards I seen on Splitcoaststampers.  I'm so sorry I can't remember their names but I'll try to post them on here when I do.  I had an Inkadinkado stamp of the witch.  I punched out a post-it note circle to mask the moon. Used my SU Ink pads with a finger dobber (pumpkin spice and lavender lace).  Then I used my Distress Ink - Black soot to make it all ere.  I love how this turned out.  I finally used my Martha Stewart edge punch - gate.  Lastly, I used my Lovely as a Tree stamp set from SU for the background.

So, Do you guys think I need to add anything to it?  Let me know.

Thanks for stopping by and checking it out.  Have a great day and a wonderful weekend.

Take care, Friday

Birthday Card

Hi everyone, here I go again. hehe!! I wanted to share a birthday card I made for my Son's classmate.  Her birthday party is this Saturday and I just had to make her a card.  It's even a Halloween Costume Birthday Party.  How cool is that?  My Son gets to use his costume more than once. That's awesome to me.  So, here is the card.

So, I used some papers I bought at Target that was really girly.  I also used a glittery flower frame from Colobox.  Added some pink lace from my stash.  The Sentiment was from Michaels stamped in SU pixie pink ink.  That was it.  It's a really simple card.  My kind of card.  lol.:-)

Thanks everyone for stopping by and taking a peek.  Take Care!

I used the Lace and Linen Paper Pack from DCWV.  I just love this pack because it has my two favorite colors Pink and Brown.  So, the front of the Rolodex will have the brown and the back with have the pink.  I can't wait to put things that I love this year.   I hope you, ladies got some ideas on how to do yours (Yvonne and Yvette).  Can't wait to swap.

Pumpkin Festival

Hi everyone,  Happy Columbus Day!!  It is sure an Awesome day to pick pumpkins.  The kids and my hubby had the day off today and we thought we go to the place we go every year at this time.  It's a Pumpkin Festival in Maryland.  They have hayrides, face painting, pony rides, cornstalk mazes, and yummy pumpkin pies (my favorite).  I have few pictures to share with you.  Check it out.

I know this looks gross but I just had to share this.  This is what we came across this visit.  It wasn't a pleasing sight nor a pleasing smell.  Nonetheless, we still were able to pick a few nice looking pumpkins.  These were all over the place, YUCK!!  I hope you all have better luck.

Thanks for stopping by, Everyone.  Have a great holiday.

My First Banner

Hi everyone, Its me again.  I'm on a roll this weekend.  Two projects crossed off my list of to dos... LOL!!  I wanted to share my very first banner ever... Now, I have done a letter banner swap but this is my first actual banner made for my friends daughter.  I used the colors and inspiration from her bedding my friend told me.  I went from there.  Check it out...

Ok, I used the scallop mini album that I got from Michaels and covered it with some recollection baby boy pattern paper.  I used Blue,Green and Chocolate Bazzil cardstock.  I also use chipboard coasters from Michaels too.  The pattern on the bedding is like a mosaic and I mimic it in the banner.  I used a embossing folder from Cuttlebug to embossing the squares.  I borrowed my friends Cricut to cut out the letters out from the Bazzil cardstock.  I bought some puffies star stickers from KI Memories at Michaels.  I thought it went perfectly with the banner.  Lastly, I used some chocolate and white polka dot silk ribbon and my white exlarge eyelets to finish it off.

I just love this banner and I hope my friends daughter will love it too.

Thanks everyone for stopping by today and have a wonderful Sunday!

A Dino Thank you(s)

Hi Everyone, How is everyone's weekend going so far?  My weekend is going pretty well.  My daughter and I went to a birthday party this afternoon.  She had a blast jumping and sliding down these huge moon bounces.  It was called "Pump It Up".  It is quit similar like the place I held my Son's birthday.  Anywho, I wanted to share my thank you cards for my Son's birthday.  I'm so late getting these out but I just didn't know what to make or how.  Here is the card...

I used a free image from the internet.  I did that cuz I didn't want to buy more stickers.  Saving some money. LOL...  I bought some embossed felt from Joanns that I thought looked like lizard skin.  I just wish they had them in green... Oh well.  I stamped the "Thanks" with my Studio G cling stamps I got at Michaels on sale.  I mounted the picture on cardstock.  Inked the edges with SU Chocolate Chip ink.  Cut out the thanks with my Deckle scissors (I have been using that a lot lately).  Added some jute rope for some interest.  Lastly poked a hole with my cropadile and added an eyelet.  Then ran some twine though.  There is my finished card.  I just have to write in it and put it in envies and I'm finally done.  Yay for me.

Thank you everyone for stopping by and taking a peek.  Have a great Holiday Weekend.

You never know when you will come across that deal again.  I know I'm terrible. hehe!!

Black and Ivory cardstock from my stash
Colobok pattern papers
Heart, mini hearts, label punches from SU
