Creative Color Challenge #9

Hi all my crafty friends,
Welcome to another Creative Color Challenge.   I hope you are all ready for this challenge.  Color challenges are my challenge for sure.  I always go to my go to colors like Pink and Brown.  hehe!  So, I'm glad I'm on this Design Team to challenge myself.  This one I really like.

This week, we could pick any three (3) colors in this picture.
We also had to include three (3) or more Flowers to our card as well.

Let's thank our wonderful sponsor Lacy Sunshine for the images provided.

Here is my card for this weeks challenge:

For this card, I water colored the super cute image from our sponsor with my Artist Loft watercolor pallet.  I fussy cut her out with my scissors this time.  I added clear glitter glue to her top and the polka dots on the watering can.  I used the paper from Crate Paper called Pretty Party on my base.  Its an older paper line that I got at TJMax.  I then cover the paper with a huge paper doily that I get from my local Irish Pub (Funny huh?).  I have a ton of these so, I wanted to tone down the paper in the background.  I added some bling flowers (I got from my sis, Steph Sweetcraftychic on YouTube) and sprays (I got from Party City).  Lastly, I added some flowers that I got from Divine (itsalldivine on YouTube).  I also punched out some leaves from my Martha Stewart punch.

I hope you all like my card for this week's challenge.  Water coloring is so much fun!!

Please come and stop by Creative Color Challenge blog and enter your creations to win some awesome prices.  Also check out the other amazing members creations as well.

Spring is here!

Hi my crafty friends,
This week has been busy and fun.  My daughter had the week off and we did whatever she wanted.  Well, everything with reason that is.  LOL!!  I tried to make it her week like I did for my son last week.
It's been spring like weather here with a early chill in the morning first.

Today, I wanted to share with you all my ATCs (Artist Trading Cards) I made for a swap on MyScraproom.  It's hosted by Nica (Simplyshimmeryscraps on Youtube).

Here is my ATCs I will be mailing out today:

I hope the ladies like my creations.  I need to try this more often.  I really enjoyed making them.

Thanks everyone for stopping by today.  Please come back for another Creative Color Challenge on April 29th.

Altered Target Box

Hello Crafty Friends,
I'm back again with a quick share of an altered box I got from Target.  They were on clearance for 70 cents.  I had to get them.

I wanted to alter 2 more of these boxes for my son's Teachers but I didn't make them in time before his Spring Break.  I made this one for my daughter's teacher.  It's just a little something to wish her a Happy Easter.

Check it out:

They are so cute and I want to altered more.  I have been using laces and trims from my rak I got from my sweet friend Divine.  It's taken me awhile to use them up but slowly I am.  Yay!!

I had gotten some Recollection flowers that were 60% off at Michaels.  I added my hearts that I crochet around them and used some of my cream bows I made earlier.  Love using stuff.

Now I have to add some chocolate in the box and off it goes tomorrow morning to my daughter's Teacher.  I hope she likes it.

What do you all think?

Thanks everyone for stopping by today.  I hope you come back soon for more projects and cards.

Creative Color Challenge DT Card

Hi my crafty friends,

Finally, we are having spring weather here in Virginia/DC Metro Area.  I can't remember the last time I longed for warmer weather.  This weekend we truly enjoyed the outside by visiting our yearly tradition by going to see the Cherry Blossoms at the Tidal Basin in DC.  They are so gorgeous  and it never gets old.  I will share pictures soon.

Today, I wanted to share another Creative Color Challenge with you all.  This weeks challenge are the colors below and fussy cutting.

Our sponsor this week is from an artist name Rick

He let the Design Team pick images from his zibbet shop.
I picked a little girl with a heart balloon.

Here is my card:

She is so adorable.  I had trouble fussy cutting her outfit out.  I used my Scan and Cut her out.  So, this was a challenge.  I hadn't done this in a long time so I'm out of practice.  I colored her hair, skin and balloon with my copics.  I then paper pieced her clothing with paper from Crate Paper - Random.  I added some letter stickers for my sentiment.  And lastly, added some green bling from my stash.

Please stop by Creative Color Challenge blog and enter your cards to win great prizes from our Awesome Sponsors.

Thanks for stopping by today.

If you miss this challenge, please come back for another one on April 29th.

Have a great week!!

Easter 2014

Hi my crafty friends,
Today is the first of spring break for my son.  I have somethings planned for him and he doesn't even know it.  Hehe!!  It's going to be another beautiful day here.

Here is my Easter Card for this year.  As you may know I live in Northern Virginia near DC.  In the spring the cherry blossoms bloom at the Tidal Basin in DC.  We go every year since my daughter was born, so nine (9) years and still going.  Check it out...

If you follow me on Instagram and Facebook, you probably have seen pictures of the cherry blossom image and felt bow.  I watercolor the image and added some glitter glue to the center of the flowers.  You can't see it because of my old camera.  But believe it's there. I backed the image with paper from Recollections called Grey Mini Dots from Michaels.   I used the MFT Dienamic - dainty bows I got on-line with pink and grey felt from Michaels.  I used another Recollection papers called Itsy Bitsy Ditsy Cherry Pie.  It went perfect.  Lastly I stamped a sentiment from Studio G stamps in Memento London Fog.  Punched it out with my CM circle punch and EK Success 1-1/2 scallop circle punch.

Love it - Don't you?  I want to watercolor more.  I bought the Artist Loft watercolor pallet from Michaels.  I want to get the pearlescent ones soon.

Thanks everyone for stopping by today.  Please come back tomorrow for my Design Team card for April 15th Creative Color Challenge.

OMG, I love love love making these.  They are so easy - well for the most part they are!  I had to get use to how the heart is and the HOLES!!  I had to bust out my bifocals for these.  LOL!!

I got these idea from Amy at Tootooamy on YouTube.  Here is her video http://youtu.be/m1RHoWbKOT0, if you want to check it out yourself.
Thanks Amy for the Tutorial.
