Panel Divider Birthday Cards

Hi Friends,
Now that summer is here and school has ended.  My kids and I have been keeping busy.  I have been teaching them how to ride their bikes without training wheels.
I know it's about time for my daughter since she is now 9 years old but she learned so quickly.
Now as for my son, he is only 6, will take some time but he is almost there.
How old were you when you learned to ride your bike with no training wheels?

Today, I needed to make some birthday cards for my niece and my hubby's niece so it just happens I was watching a video on Youtube. I found a card that I haven't seen before or had seen it but forgotten about it.

Here is the video.
Here name is France Martin.
She is a Stampin Up Demonstrator that I follow.

I loved this card so much I created two cards from it.

Here it is:

This one is for my Hubby's niece.

This one is for my niece.

What the papers look familiar?  Yes, you are correct.  I just used these papers from my previous project with the teachers gifts.  I wanted to use them up.  Nah, they were still out and so I used them. LOL!!

These are little cards but they are so different and super cute.

I used the paper from Recollections.  I punched out butterflies with my Martha Stewart punches.  The buttons are from my new Marvy button punch, I got from my Tuesday Morning.  I stamped my sentiment witth Archival Ink from Ranger.  Oh for the bottom I used my EK Success punch.  I don't know the name of it.  Sorry.   The top end are punched out my Martha Stewart Punches as well.  Lastly, I used some black twine from my stash and added glitter glue to the butterflies.

I hope you all enjoy my cards for today.

Have a great Summer and stay cool.

Altered Clipboards for Teachers

Hi Everyone,
As the school year comes to a close and summer is here.  I find that altering clipboards are the thing to do for my kids teachers.  I have been doing them for 3 years now and I really enjoy altering them.

Here are a couple of them:

I purchase my clipboards at local Dollar Tree store.  I used some recollections pattern paper called Toile and Cream and Polka Dots.  I used my Aleene's Matte Decoupage.  I also added a tear drop die from Spellbinders to add the teachers initials.  I used chipboard Kraft and white polka dots and Decoupage them on too.  I hope my son's teachers like it.  I have seen his Kindergarten teacher use theirs.  So, I know they are useful.

I can't believe school is over and my kids will be going to 4th and 2nd grades next year.  Time sure flies.

Thanks everyone for stopping by today.   Have a great day.

Creative Color Challenge #13

Hi Everyone,
I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend and especially Sunday/Father's Day.
We had an extremely relaxing weekend even through it was busy with Taekwondo Belt Ceremony on Saturday.  After that, we found sometime to enjoy some music at a Blues Festival.   We enjoyed some funnel cake, Mexican and Mediterranean food and cool refreshing drinks.
Win Win!!  It was exactly what my hubby wanted to do.

As far as my Dad, I do miss him a lot.  They are now living in California and it's hard for us to visit as often as we would like.  We do call them and sometimes skype.
LOVE you DAD!!

Today I'm here with another Creative Color Challenge #13 for you all.
Archana wanted to try something different for her team this week.  She asked us to come up with a color pallet and challenge.  We all happily agreed.
This week Claudia had a great color pallet and challenge for us.

Here is Claudia's color pallet for us:
Vanilla, Mint Green and White

We also had to add a butterflies.

Our sponsor this week is Lacysunshine.

I chose the digi called lupita:
 Simply Adorable!
Thank you Lacy Sunshine.  I had a hard time choosing. They are all so cute.

Now here is my card:

I trying my very best to add flowers to my cards.  I'm not very good at but as do it more I will get it sooner or later.

The base is a 5x5 size card.  I'm not sure how I'm going to mail it out but its bigger than that with the butterflies and circle extending out.  I used pattern paper from Crate Paper called " Oh Darling".  I also use the same paper for the butterflies.  I cut out the butterflies with my new Tim Holtz on the edge die called "Butterflight".  I have seen other ladies use this die this way so I had to try it out on this card.  I then added some white crochet and ribbon trim on the top, below the butterflies.  I colored my image with my copics (if you want to know the colors let me know by commenting down below).  I cut her out with my new Diemond Dies Nesting Circles die set.  I love this set as it has 20 dies total and they perfect for layering and matting.  Now for my flower arrangement.  I used some crochet doiles from Nica (Simplyshimmeryscraps).  I cut out some mint green swirls from Cheery Lynn dies called Fanciful Flourish mini.  I cut them up and tucked them here and there.  I added some white, pink, and cream flowers that I got from my friend Divine (itsalldivine).  Then I added some white ribbon rolled flowers from Michaels.  I distress the edges with vintage photo distress ink.  Lastly, I add some pearl trim for the antenna for the butterflies.

I truly enjoy making this card and I hope you all like as well.  Stop on by Creative Color Challenge's Blog to enter in on the fun.  Plus check out the other design team members creations too.  They are all amazing.

Have a great Tuesday and the rest of your week.

Best DAD Ever!!

Hi Everyone,
Today, I'm here to share my card to my Hubby for Father's Day.
It's another clean but simple card kind of week.

Here is my card:

It's an A2 size card (4-1/4 x 5 - 1/2).  So, I used black cardstock from Darice.  I then used some pattern paper from Recollections - Black Mustaches.  Then I added some mustache stickers that I got from Target.  I used some of my Shape extras from my last cards.  I distress the edges on the pattern paper and cogs (Spellbinders) die cut.  I stamped the sentiment with Rangers Archival Ink - Jet Black. The stamp is from Studio G 2010.  I cut a tie out with my Memory Box Die - Family Ties with blue cardstock.   Love it.

I also added more cardstock and pattern paper inside the card.

Thanks everyone for stopping by today.  I hope you all like my card and comment down below.
I would like to hear what you all think.

Thanks again!

Father's Day Cards 2014

Hi friends,
Today, I'm here to share my 2014 Father's Day Cards.
It's just around the corner and this year cards are not dimensional.  It is clean and simple.  Not even one pop dot to add dimension.  I wanted to be flat for a change.

I'm also entering both for a challenge on Youtube.
Carol from OneHappyCraftyChick is having a Clean and Simple Card Challenge on her Channel.  I thought these cards would go well with the theme.  Please check her out.

Here it is:

I love the gears and the paper I used  And the distress sure adds a lot to this card.  Don't you think?
This is an A2 size card (4 - 1/4 x 5 - 1/2 card).  I used pattern paper from DCWV - The Timeless Type.  I cut the gears out of blk and kraft card stock.  I used the Spellbinders Cogs and Donna Salazar Sprinkly Sprockets.  Love that time.  I added some distress ink Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain to the pattern paper, sentiments, and also the gears.  I used stamps from TPC Studio and Studio G.  Punched out the circles with my Creative Memories circle punch that I have had for years.  An oldie but goodie, right?

I just love the simplicity of the card.

Thanks Everyone for stopping by today.  I hope you all had a great Monday and perfect start to your week.
