Smile!

Hi Everyone!
I wanted to share a card I made for a swap I'm doing with someone on YouTube.  I thought I would go ahead and show this before I show the Book Box I altered for her.

I'm mailing out her package out today so she should be getting this soon.

I hope you all like it:
I used my faux leather sheet I sampled on and I really like how this turned out.  I used some my handmade box pleated trim too.  Love that trim and I'm so glad I learned how to make them.

This is a 5x5 card that I used some black lace from my stash.  I added some prima flowers, a Making Memories metal piece, and some satin ribbon.

Love this card.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Have a great Thursday and the rest of your week.

MSR Challenge

Hi Everyone, I thought I would share my take on Gina's Challenge over at My Scraproom.ning.com.  She is doing a challenge every week weather it's a card sketch or an altered item.  All her challenges are pretty cool and worth trying out.  She is also graciously rewarding the participants with some awesome goodies.  If you are not a member you should.

This weeks challenge is to alter a basket with her template.  Here is my version:

It's so cute and I have already suggested to do this for my Son's Prek class for Easter.  Too cute.  You could fit an easter egg in it.

I used some of the paper from American Crafts - Ala Carte.  I bought a bunch of it so why not, right?! lol.  I used some prima and Michaels baby flowers, pink lace, pearls, ribbon from my stash.  That's its.  Adorable.  I will have a video uploaded soon.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peak.

Have a great Friday and Weekend!
Please check out Myscraproom.ning.com for challenges and swaps.

An Easter Card

Hi everyone, I'm here today to share an Easter Card I'm trying out.  I'm not sure if this will be my Easter Cards for this year.  I like it but I'm not sure.

Here it is:
I layered a paper doily (I got from an Irish Pub, lol), lace and trim.  Used my Spellbinders die - Floral Doily Motifs.  Cut out circles from my Creative Memories Circles templates and punches.  Got the paper from Michaels.  It's from American Crafts - a la Carte (Love this paper when I saw it).  Stamped "Happy Easter" from a Studio G stamp set.  Added pearls to the die cut and on the banner.  That's it.

What do you all think?  Is it good enough to send out or is there something missing?  I'm on the fence.

Thanks guys for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you all are having a wonderful Wednesday.

Yarn Swirl Flowers

Hey guys, I had an idea on using some yarn I bought at Michaels.  They look like the Bakers Twine everyone is buying.  Well, I didn't have any at the time so I improvise and bought some yarn that looks exactly like them.  Just the other day I thought of a way to use them besides Bakers Twine.  I thought they would make beautiful Swirl Flowers.  I have made fabric ones and satin ones but never this kind.

Here is a picture of them:
I'm not sure if I'm the first to make these but they came to me this morning while I was putting my scrappy stuff away.  Like I aways do and it's a total pain in the butt.  I had some green, red and plain ivory yarn and this is what I came up with.  I used some dainty lace I had in my stash along with buttons and bling for the centers.  I think that are adorable.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Have a Great Friday and Weekend!

March Birthday Cards

Hi Everyone,
I'm here today to share some cards I have made for my hubby's family.  Both are males but these weren't as difficult as some in the past.  Maybe because I know what they like.  I don't know but it was a good excuse, right? :)

Here is a picture of them:
I'm still using those papers from Bobunny that I got super cheap at my local AcMoore.  I really like the baseball card.  It was stamp by TCP Studio Clear Stamps.  I used my Bic Markers.  Some buttons from my stash.  Distress the edges with Vintage Photo.  Every easy.

Thanks everyone for stopping by today.  I can't wait to start on my Easter Cards.  I have some ideas that I think you guys will like.  Check back soon.

Have a great Thursday!

Handmade Pleated Trim

Hi Everyone, I hope everyone had a great weekend.  I had a great time with friends shopping.  A must needed trip to Scrappy stores.

Today I wanted to share something I just created with the help of a video I saw on Youtube this morning.  OMG!!  Handmade Boxed Pleated Trim. I love the store bought ones but you know I'm also a hands on kind of person and when I saw this I had to try.  I have a ton of polyester ribbon and this would come in hand when you don't have the right color trim for your projects.  Love it.

Here is a of my trims:

What do you all think?  It's from the Celebrate Basic Polyester Ribbon from Michaels.  They are 5/8 inch ribbon and I love it.

Here is the Supplies you need:
That's it.  Can you believe it.  It's a little consuming but the end results are so worth it.
Here is the Link to Leonie on Youtube.  Thank you Leonie for the Awesome tutorial.  It was so easy to follow along.  Enjoy and create some yourself.

Thanks guys for stopping by today.  I will have a couple of birthday cards to share real soon.  As for the book box, I will share that probably at the end of the month.  I'm doing a swap and I want the recipient to get it first.  I hope you all can wait until then.  :0)

Have a Great day!

St. Patrick's Day Card

Oh my, It's been so long since I made something and post it.  So Sorry guys.  My creativity has gone dry and I'm trying to get back into it after I got sick.  I have been shopping on-line though.  Shame on me!  hehe!  I bought some new Quickuts dies from Scrapbuck.com.   I found a Shamrock die on their site and bought amongest other dies and goodies.  You can see what I bought on my Scrapbuck Haul Video on Youtube.  So this was the first time using these dies and I was pleasantly surprise that they cut so well (Like butter).

Here is my card:
I bought some really inexpensive adhesive felt shamrock from Joanns and I knew I wanted to use them too on my card.  So I layered them onto each other.  I used some Spellbinders dies, bling and buttons from my stash.  I don't own any twine so I found some twine looking yarn from Mikes the other day.  I used that.  I used some Recollection shamrock paper from Mikes as well.  Layered it with some green cardstock on a white cardstock base.  Simple but time consuming. lol!!

I hope you all like it and thanks for stopping by my blog.

Have an Awesome Friday!!

Take care, Friday
