New Poinsettia's Die

Hi Scrappy buddies, I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable Thanksgiving Holiday and four(4) day weekend.  I thought I would share what I was playing with this weekend.  I bought the new Spellbinders Shapeabilities Layered Poinsettia die set couple weeks ago.  I absolutely love this set and I have quite a few projects to use these on.  Here is a picture of my very first cuts...

Thanks everyone for stopping by and taking a peak.

Have a great Monday... Hugs,

Santa's Letter Holder

Hi everyone, Happy Wednesday to you all.  I felt creative today, so I altered some Balsa boxes from Michaels.  I believe I got this Idea from Angie (Meriscrapper13 on Youtube) and I had to make this year for my kids.  It's a Santa Letter Holder.  I had this crazy story to go with it - instead of mailing your list/letter to Santa that he would send an Elf down from the North Pole to pick up all letters and then leave a little something behind. So, I wanted to start something like that on November 30st, the kids would write out their list put in the holder and when they woke up the next morning (Dec. 1st) there would be a little gift left by Santa's elf (it could happen right)... LOL... I thought it would kick off the excitement of Christmas.  Here they are:
This one is for my Daughter
This one is for my Son
I hope you all like them as much as I do.  Now my kids can't wait to write them out.  Yay, success!!

I used Me and My Big Ideas Value Pack from a couple of years ago.  I'm trying to use up papers that I have.  Painted the box with White Acrylic paint.  Then glued paper with Mod Podge Gloss and then painted more over the paper to give a glossy finish.  Fussy cut the reindeers and polar bears out of the pattern paper.  Added some stickles (xmas red) and Studio G Sparkle writer (Clear) on the cut outs.  Drilled holes on the sides with my Fiskars Drill (love this tool).  Strung and knotted some white and gingham blue ribbon.  Unscrewed the hardware for the closure.  Painted the knob with white paint.  Glue buttons on them with hot glue.  Last of all, added some laces and trims and Viola two holders ready for action.

Thank you all for stopping by.  I want to wish each and everyone of you a Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow.  I can't believe it's already here.  Now I'm ready for Christmas.  hehe!!

Have a great day..

Last 2 Flowers...

for a swap...  I wanted to share what I have come up with.  As you know, I'm doing a card and flower swap over on Nilianny's YouTube channel.  I had an idea of what I was making but just need the right papers.  So, I used the same papers from the collect that I used to make the card (DCWV Blossoms and Butterflies).  I thought it went together.  Here is my flowers:
I combined the mini paper rosette flowers (Tim Holtz) and my lace trims from my stash.  I really love the mini rosettes.  I just bought it at my local AcMoore store.

I really need to use up all the laces in my stash.  I have bought and received from such generous ladies in a rak or swap.  Here is a picture of all my lace and various trims.  Please keep in mind that is not all of it. LOL...
I have more in another closet hanging on binder rings.  I know I have a problem...  Need to stop hoarding them all and use them up.  hehe!!

I hope you all like and I can't wait for my partner to enjoy them.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek.  Have a Great Week, Everyone!!

Flower/Card Swap

Hi Everyone... Happy Thursday!  Today was a pretty busy day.  The kids had the day off, I had to go to 2 conferences, pick out paint for our livingroom, and get flu shots.  Whew, what a day...I did squeeze some time to make this card for a flower/card swap I'm in.  I have already showed two (2) of the flowers and I haven't worked on the other two yet but I will soon.  Here is my Card:

My partner likes blue, brown, yellow and green.  So, I picked out the papers from DCWV (Blossoms and Butterflies).  It had all the colors she liked.  I used white cardstock for the base and for the sentiment.  I made some flowers from Fabric flowers from Michaels, then added some Prima blossoms and a plastic flower center (that I got in a rak).  Then I used some Prima leaves, punched out some MS Butterflies with the papers, and added some bling to them.  Stamped the sentiment with my Studio G stamps.  Added some Want2scrap pearl swirls.  Lastly, I added some dew drops.

I hope you all like my card.  I hope partner will like it too.

Thanks everyone for stopping by my blog.  If you have any questions please ask.  I love hearing from you all.

Have a day and Have a pleasant Holiday (Veterans Day) too...

Thanksgiving Cards 2011

Hi everyone, Happy Sunday!! I wanted to share with you all my Thanksgiving cards for this year.  As many of you know that I make 10 cards for every Holiday from Halloween through 4th of July for family and friends.  It's like clockwork every year.  I also make birthday cards in between it all.  Then I make Invitations for my kids birthdays and that could very from 15 - 30 invites.  Yikes!!  So, I wanted to get these cards over with so I could finish up my flower and card swap and then I have a cigar box swap I'm doing with a friend. I have already done 2 flowers so, I just have to do the other two and the card in which I already picked out the papers for it.  The cigar box will take up most of my time since I have never done one before and I don't even have the papers for it.  uggghhh!!   I have a ton of ideas going through my head about that box.  The theme we picked out was "Christams" (our interpretation of it).  I'm not sure what direction I will take it yet but I hope it Rocks... LOL... We will see.  Here is my card (Finally I know) lol:

Another simple card.  I hope you all like it.

Thank you all for stopping by and taking a look.  I hope to post something next week.
