Grungy Birthday Card

OK, I'm back with yet another birthday card.  This one is for my Nephew and I struggle on doing teenager/masculine cards.  I don't know about you all but it stumps me every single time.  Well, I came up with a grungy type of card for him.  I usually try to make a card that reflects their likes and hobbies but my nephew is really into computers and games.  I didn't have anything to work with.  I'm trying not to buy more stuff this year but to use things in my stash instead.  So, this is what I came up with.  I hope you all like.

Here are all the supplies I used:
Pattern papers:  I don't know but I bought it at Costco long time ago.
Cardstock :  Bazzil Brown Cardstock
Inks:  Distress Ink - Vintage Photos and Walnut stain, Stazon Timber Brown
Dies:  MFT Banner die
Embellishments:  Wood Tiles from Michaels, Twill Ribbon from Joanns, Making Memories alpha stickers, Tim Holtz Adage Ticket, Buttons and key charm from my stash, Twine, Musical note paper clip
Stamp:  Musical notes stamp from GASC 2010.
Tools:  Making Memories Distresser, glue gun, atg and scotch liquid glue

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek.  Have a great day...

Hugs, Friday

Great Job!!!
Why is it that we can put a "girly" card together in minutes but struggle with the masculine cards? Anyway...Friday, you did a great job!!

Hi Friday! I thought I'd answer your question here! The butterfly was 2mm thick, so it's almost the same as two pieces of medium weight chipboard. It's cracked right through and seems quite fragile now...like it would shatter to pieces if you bent it. I think I'll be doing this again!
So sorry to hear that you suffer pain as well! Creating is my escape, how about you? :o)
