A lacey and purple card

Hi Everyone, how are you all doing today?  We finally got some nice weather here but not for long. LOL!  It dropped to the 90s, yay, considering it was 100+ last week.  Yikes!!

Anyway, I wanted to share a card I made for a friend. She is such a sweetie I had to make her a card to show my appreciation for all she does for me.  I hope she likes it.

Like my other card I made on Tuesday, I used some die cuts from swaps.  The doily I got from Briggtte (shoeprincess1) and ornate envelope (I'm not sure where I got that from).  I want that sizzix die now.  Great... Like I need more dies.  lol!  I used my new punch from Yvonne (scrapbliss). Thanks girl.  I love this punch.  This is my new fav Martha Stewart punch.  I also digged into my recollection mini flowers.  This was a pretty card and I like how it turned out.

Thanks everyone for stopping by today and take a peek at my card.  Have a great rest of your week.

Using My Die Cuts.

Hi everyone, this post is about using up my die cuts I have received in swaps and from my die cut  swap I had hosted a couple of months ago.  So this card show cases a dress form die that I had received in a swap.  I have a Niece's birthday coming up and I thought this would be perfect. I hope you enjoy.

So this die cut is from an old retired Sizzix Die.  I painted the die with White acrylic paint and little bit of water to do a white wash.  Covered the dress of the die with some gingham paper I had in my stash.  I added some pink and pearl trim to the bottom and top of the dress.  I also used some pink satin ribbon for the belt with a bow.  I used another die cut for the frame and I think it's a flower and vine frame from  Sizzix.  I got from another swap.  I embossed it with a cuttlebug folder named victoria and rubbed weather wood distress ink over it.  I love this color combo.  As for the back paper it's just some recollection demask paper I got from Michaels.   That's it.

Thanks everyone for stopping by and taking a peek.  If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Comparing Rolodex Size

Hello everyone!  I thought I would share the difference between the rolodex I bought I Stamps and the die I got from Vikki.  The Die measures at 3 x 4-1/2 and the staples ones are 2 x 4.  So to me it's a difference.  I have taken a picture for proof for my friend Nancy @ Thenickelnook.blogspot.com.  She was the curious one who wanted to know and maybe others too.   Here is the picture... enjoy.

I hope this answers your question, Nancy.  Thank you so much for all your comments on my blog... I love each and every one.

Have a Great Sunday!!

No space rolodex cards... LOL!

Ok, I bought these rolodex cards at my local Staples.  I was so desperate to alter these that I bought the inserts and layered them 5 sheets thick.  Well, I don't like them.   They don't have a lot of real estate to add cutsy embellies and maybe a pocket. Am I wrong?  I covered them with paper and I still don't like them and it's cute but I don't know.  But don't you all fear... lol... My Awesome friend Vikki from UK saved the day.  I asked her a favor to buy me the Ellison Thick cut Telephone & Address Card.  She was so super sweet to buy it for me.  OMG.. I got it in the mail today. YAY!!!!  I can't wait to cut chipboard out of this die and alter it.  I will show it when I have completed one.

Have a Fab weekend everyone.  Take Care!!

Just for You Cards

OMG, It's so hard to get motivated these days.  Well for me that is.  I have been trying to decide what kind of cards I wanted to make for some friends I owe stuff to and I finally figured it out.  I really like how these cards turned out.  I used some dollar premade white cards from Michaels.  I like the share of these cards than the others I have seen.  I hope you all like these.

Supplies I used:
Pattern Paper:  Unknown
Miscellaneous:  Lace from Gina(scrappinology), Prima flowers from Michaels, Buttons from AcMoore, Dollar Sentiment stamp from Michaels and Distress Ink Vintage Photo.

Thank everyone for stopping by and checking it out. I hope you all have a great and wonderful weekend.

Awesome Friendships!

Hey everyone, this past Saturday I met up with Yvonne (scrapbliss) and Yvette (Dailyscrapper) for lunch and some shopping. hehe!!  I know I have said no more shopping for me but I didn't do too bad.  I can always blame it on Yvonne and Yvette, right?  Just kidding.  We had great a lunch and shopping was fantastic.  Love hanging out with these two.  They are so much fun.  We are planning to do this once a month with a twist.  We thought it would be great to challenge ourselves and then share our creations.  Awesome idea, Yvonne.  More details will follow.

Here are some pictures of their generosity.  Thank you so much, Ladies.

I'm so glad I have gotten over that fear of meeting new people especially people on-line.  We had a discussion about that during our lunch.  I had the pleasure of meeting Gina in California (hopefully that will not be the last time we meet)  and Now with Yvonne and Yvette.  I hope to meet up with other Youtubers in the future.  I can't wait for next months lunch date, Ladies.  We plan on going to Hobby Lobby near Yvonne.  I can't wait for that since I have not been to one before.

Thank so much ladies and until next month... Hugs!

Thank you all for stopping by and taking a peek.  I hope you all had a great weekend.

Grungy Birthday Card

OK, I'm back with yet another birthday card.  This one is for my Nephew and I struggle on doing teenager/masculine cards.  I don't know about you all but it stumps me every single time.  Well, I came up with a grungy type of card for him.  I usually try to make a card that reflects their likes and hobbies but my nephew is really into computers and games.  I didn't have anything to work with.  I'm trying not to buy more stuff this year but to use things in my stash instead.  So, this is what I came up with.  I hope you all like.

Here are all the supplies I used:
Pattern papers:  I don't know but I bought it at Costco long time ago.
Cardstock :  Bazzil Brown Cardstock
Inks:  Distress Ink - Vintage Photos and Walnut stain, Stazon Timber Brown
Dies:  MFT Banner die
Embellishments:  Wood Tiles from Michaels, Twill Ribbon from Joanns, Making Memories alpha stickers, Tim Holtz Adage Ticket, Buttons and key charm from my stash, Twine, Musical note paper clip
Stamp:  Musical notes stamp from GASC 2010.
Tools:  Making Memories Distresser, glue gun, atg and scotch liquid glue

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek.  Have a great day...

Fancy Birthday Card

Hi everyone, it's so nice to create something.  Boy, I sure missed it.  I made this birthday card for my hubby's Mom.  I thought these colors suit her since her kitchen is full of strawberries.  I didn't have a strawberry stamp (I guess I better start looking for one. hehe!) in my stash of many wood, clear and cling stamps. I hope you all like it.

The supply list I used:
Paper:  Bazzil red, pink and white cardstock
Stamps: Hero Arts Lace Background, Dollar Sentiment Stamp(Studio G)
Flowers:  Prima Floret Collection Giselle, Mini Flowers I bought from Karla (karlas001)
Punches/Dies:  Martha Stewart Rose Leaf Punch, Fiskars Embossing Border Punch, and Sizzix Flourish die.
Misc:  Queen&Co Pearls, Pink Satin Ribbon, Studio 18 Glitter Clear Glue, White Detailed Embossing Powder.

Thanks everyone for stopping by.  Now I'm off to make another birthday card for my nephew.  I'm struggling with that one. lol...

Please leave a comment if you have questions... I love comments.
