How Old Are You?

Hi Friends,

I'm here today share a birthday card for my hubby's niece.  I make one for her every year.  Her birthday is after Christmas and we make a point to send her another gift to celebrate her special day.

Here it is:

I got to admit that I never get tired of coloring these images.  I love them so much.  They simply GORJUSS!!  LOL!  I used one of my new Gorjuss Girl Stamps called "Little Foxes".  I can't say it enough "Isn't she adorable!!".  I have some other New stamps I am die to play with and I will share with you all soon.

I also used a paper pad from Pebbles called "Walnut Grove" that I bought TJ Maxx this year.  I layered the papers with some of my dies from Spellbinders (Labels Twenty-One, Oval Scallop).  I then popped up the image with dimensional dots.  I stamped a sentiment from my New stamp set from Fiskars called Birthday Cheer that I got from my local Tuesday Morning.  It has lots of birthday sentiments I know that I will use a lot.  I also stamped the inside as well with one of these stamps.

I finally used one of my corrugated cards from Michaels. I distressed the paper, card base, banner, and the inside layered with my distress tool from Making Memories.  Oldie but goodie!

The image was colored with my copics.  It was tons of fun coloring again.  I hope to more of them in the coming year.  I also paper pieced her hat, dress and shoes with the designer paper.  I also love how that came out.

Thanks for stopping by today my friends.  Please come back and see what else I'm up to.  I promise to post more and share more in the new year.

Hugs,

Crochet Coffee Sleeves

Hi Everyone,

Today, I wanted to share something I really need more practice in doing!  I love to crochet, as you have may have already know.  I taught myself to crochet by watching Youtube videos.  LOL!!  One day,  I saw Mary aka DDrabmama on Youtube (Video) demonstrating how to makes these and I had to make some for my kids teachers.  Well, I couldn't find my yarn and hooks anywhere.  I was so sad.  Then, I was wrapping gifts for my family and I came across my yarn and hooks.  Yay!!  I was so happy to have found them.  So I immediately started watching Mary and ACraftyHouse on Youtube (Video) videos.  Check them out.

Now, I need more colors.  These are so much fun and addicting.  You guys have to try them out.  I had to try several times to get the right tension.  I think I got it.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you all are enjoying this busy time.  I hope to be back with my December album.

Hugs,
Tereese

Let it Snow!!

Hi guys,
Today's post is my Christmas card for 2013.  I haven't done a snowy card and we have been experiencing some snow ourselves so I just had to make one.
I don't mind the snow as long as I don't have to drive in it.  We haven't seen this much snow in two years and my kids had no school for two days.
Now that the kids are going back to school.. booo!! :D  I thought I would share my card with you all.

Here it is:

It's a simple snowy card but it sure sparkles.  The punched out snowflakes were punched out glitter paper.  Love it.  I used a dollar store ornament on my card.  It was perfect size to add in back of "let it SNOW".  I also added some glitter glue and snowflake stickers.

I hope you all like it.  I also hope everyone is safe out there.  I just heard that we will be getting more snow this weekend.  Yay!!

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Have a great Wednesday everyone!

Hugs,

Teacher's Christmas Gifts 2013

Hi Guys,

Today, I'm here to share a project that I made for my kids Teachers this year for Christmas.  It's a rosette ornament with a snowflakes.  I have always been inspired by Bona (Livelovescrap) on Youtube.  She made some ornaments that I just had to try out.

Here it is:
What do you think?  I used the Graphic 45 papers I got from Tuesday Morning:  Christmas Emporium and Christmas Past Collections.  I also used the KandCo Christmas Chipbox chipboard pieces that I had in my stash.  I used the silver snowflakes I got from the Dollar Tree and I found some cream colored snowflakes from Marshalls.  It gave the red rosettes a vintage look which I think goes perfectly with Graphic 45 papers.  On the edges of the papers I used a Martha Stewart snowflake border punch that I got from TJMaxx.  I love them all.

I hope I have inspired you to make some of you own.

Have a great weekend!!

Hugs,
Tereese S.
