WW "Recycle It"

Hi Everyone,
I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend.
We did, we hiked at a couple of parks where we live.  The kids truly enjoyed.  They are are 8 and 5.
My 5 year old hates to walk anywhere and he gets bored
real easy but he was a real trooper.  He made me proud.
We went to a place that's near DC it was called Teddy Roosevelt Island.
It was so much fun and the weather was so perfect.  Not too hot and it had a cool breeze that made it enjoyable for us and the kids.

Today, I wanted to share another Challenge project for Whimsical Designs.  We had to create a project and use something we would normally throw out.  Now, I used a grocery paper bag.  Not those paper bags from Michaels that is all nice.  This bag was big.  It fit a 6x6 sheet of paper with no problem.  I turned this bag into a card with a pocket.

Check it out:

I love how this card/bag turned out.

This came at a perfect time that I had to make my Mom a birthday card.  We were also asked to use some digi images from our sponsor Inky Impressions.  I chose the images called birthdaygirl and birthday wishes banner.  I color them with my copics. Then cut them out.  I used paper from Glitz Design called Laced Grace.  I added a doily from a Irish restaurant.  Cut out some Floral Doily Motif Dies from Spellbinders.  Inked all the edges with Tim Holtz Ink Vintage Photo.  Lastly, paper and acrylic flowers and a wheat spray from my friend Divine.  I used a sentiment from Everyday Sentiments - Whimsical Designs.

That two pieces of white paper will be notes and/or pictures from my kids to their grandmother.  I thought she would love that added touch.  I better get this out soon.  It's already late as it is. ooops!!

Love how this card turned out.  I will be going to my Target soon and getting me some of these giant paper bags.  I want to make more of these cards.  Love this size.

Please come and join us this week over at Whimsical Designs
Our sponsor Inky Impressions has offered a $10 Gift Certificate from their store to the random winner.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peak.  Come back soon for more challenges and swaps to share.

Take Care,

This is such a clever idea, and it looks like it was fun to make. The image is so adorable. Great papers, and embellishments. Love how you stamped the sentiment on the doily:)

This is so precious. I love the image. I'm so mad at myself for forgetting to use it. :-( I have to go see if you have a video on this. :-)
