WW "Favorite Colors" Challenge

Hi my crafty friends,
I'm back home safe and sound from my almost two weeks vacation.
I'm tired but ready to craft.  Don't you just hate it when you need rest from your vacation. Why is that?
haha!!

Today is Wednesday and you all know what that means.  Yep, you're right it's challenge time.
This week challenge is about "Favorite Colors".
Stephanie from Whimsical Designs has challenged us to create something with our favorite colors.  You may know what my favorite colors are.
They are Pink and Brown!! That may not be a challenge for most but it sure was fun.

We were also given some goodies from our wonderful sponsor:

I received some awesome papers, die cuts and acetate from Fancy Pants.
Thank you so much, The Paper Parade.
The lucky winner will receive a $15 gift certificate.  Awesome!!

Here is my project this week:

I chose to make a mini book.  It's made out of one sheet of 12x12 double sided paper.
Cool huh? I love it.  It has pockets and lots of room for pictures or journaling.
I got this idea from Gina (Scrappinology on Youtube).
Here is her Link. If you want to make one yourself.  She is amazing.

I used the paper called Time for Spring by Heidi Larsen from Fancy Pants Designs. The paper is called Honeycomb.   I also used the die cuts too.  Added cardstock, ribbon, glitter glue , rhinestones and twine from my stash.  I used the sentiment from Whimsical Fun - Vol. 1.  I just love this.   It's nice to step away from cards and make a little mini.

Thanks everyone for stopping today.  I hope you like my project this week.
Stop by Whimsical Designs for your chance to win an awesome prize from our sponsor.
Plus check out all the wonderful projects from our talented team.  I'm sure you won't be disappointed and may even be inspired.  :D

WW "Clean and Simple"

Happy Wednesday, Everyone!!
This week is all about relaxing and visiting family for me.  Let me first show you a challenge project I created for Whimsical Designs this week.

The Challenge is "Clean and Simple".  Just the way I like it. LOL!!

Our wonderful sponsor this week is Crafty Sentiments
The prize is 3 images of winner's choice.
They offered the team some images to pick to use on our projects.  I used an image called "Rose and Roxy".   I just love her sweet look and her sweet doggie.

Here is my creation:

I colored her with my copics.  I fussy cut her out and popped dotted her up. I layered pattern paper and cardstock from my stash.  I used my spellbinders "Fancy Tags", and "Floral Doily Motifs" with brown and pink cardstock.  I added some flat back pearls to the corner and on the tag.  Lastly, I stamped a sweet sentiment from Whimsical Designs set "Whimsical FUN - Vol. 1".  Very simple and clean looking.  :D

I hope you all like it.  If this is the kind of card you like to make please pop on by Whimsical Design and join in on the fun.  Plus check out all the other wonderful projects my fellow teammates have created.

Thanks everyone for stopping by my blog today.

If you have questions, and/or sweet encouragement I really appreciate it.

Have a great day and the rest of your week!

WW "Christmas in July"

Hi Everyone,
It's another Wednesday and you know what that means... Yes, it's Whimsical Designs Wednesday Challenge.

But first, I want to quickly share a funny commercial I saw the other day.  It's a new Geico commercial that cracks me up everytime I watch it. It's about a Camel and Hump Day.
Have you all Seen it?
Check out the Video
It's hilarious if you haven't seen it yet.   I just had to share.

Now onto our Challenge this week.  Have you ever heard of Christmas in July?  I know my kids would love to have Christmas twice in one year but lucky for me it's a card I created for the challenge.
Whew!

Here it is:

I used a Recollections paper pack called Naughty or Nice from Michaels.  I have a ton of paper still from previous projects.  I have other Christmas paper but I wanted to use this one up.  I stamp and embossed a tree collage cling mount stamp set from Recollections in a green tinsel opaque by Stampendous.  I stamp the sentiment from Whimsical Design set called "Snow Much Fun".  I used a EK border punch for the top of the card.  Lastly, I added some green gems on the bottom.

This weeks Sponsor is:  The Robins Nest

They are giving away a Christmas Package worth $25 to the lucky random winner.
Holy Smokes!!
Christmas is one of my favorite Holidays.

I hope you all like my card for this week's challenge.

Please stop by Whimsical Designs and join in on the fun!!

I entered my creation to Raisin Boat Challenge - Christmas In July (Challenge #13)
Thanks Linda!!

Hugs,
