How Old Are You?

Hi Friends,

I'm here today share a birthday card for my hubby's niece.  I make one for her every year.  Her birthday is after Christmas and we make a point to send her another gift to celebrate her special day.

Here it is:

I got to admit that I never get tired of coloring these images.  I love them so much.  They simply GORJUSS!!  LOL!  I used one of my new Gorjuss Girl Stamps called "Little Foxes".  I can't say it enough "Isn't she adorable!!".  I have some other New stamps I am die to play with and I will share with you all soon.

I also used a paper pad from Pebbles called "Walnut Grove" that I bought TJ Maxx this year.  I layered the papers with some of my dies from Spellbinders (Labels Twenty-One, Oval Scallop).  I then popped up the image with dimensional dots.  I stamped a sentiment from my New stamp set from Fiskars called Birthday Cheer that I got from my local Tuesday Morning.  It has lots of birthday sentiments I know that I will use a lot.  I also stamped the inside as well with one of these stamps.

I finally used one of my corrugated cards from Michaels. I distressed the paper, card base, banner, and the inside layered with my distress tool from Making Memories.  Oldie but goodie!

The image was colored with my copics.  It was tons of fun coloring again.  I hope to more of them in the coming year.  I also paper pieced her hat, dress and shoes with the designer paper.  I also love how that came out.

Thanks for stopping by today my friends.  Please come back and see what else I'm up to.  I promise to post more and share more in the new year.

Crochet Coffee Sleeves

Hi Everyone,

Today, I wanted to share something I really need more practice in doing!  I love to crochet, as you have may have already know.  I taught myself to crochet by watching Youtube videos.  LOL!!  One day,  I saw Mary aka DDrabmama on Youtube (Video) demonstrating how to makes these and I had to make some for my kids teachers.  Well, I couldn't find my yarn and hooks anywhere.  I was so sad.  Then, I was wrapping gifts for my family and I came across my yarn and hooks.  Yay!!  I was so happy to have found them.  So I immediately started watching Mary and ACraftyHouse on Youtube (Video) videos.  Check them out.

Now, I need more colors.  These are so much fun and addicting.  You guys have to try them out.  I had to try several times to get the right tension.  I think I got it.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you all are enjoying this busy time.  I hope to be back with my December album.

Hugs,

Let it Snow!!

Hi guys,
Today's post is my Christmas card for 2013.  I haven't done a snowy card and we have been experiencing some snow ourselves so I just had to make one.
I don't mind the snow as long as I don't have to drive in it.  We haven't seen this much snow in two years and my kids had no school for two days.
Now that the kids are going back to school.. booo!! :D  I thought I would share my card with you all.

Here it is:

It's a simple snowy card but it sure sparkles.  The punched out snowflakes were punched out glitter paper.  Love it.  I used a dollar store ornament on my card.  It was perfect size to add in back of "let it SNOW".  I also added some glitter glue and snowflake stickers.

I hope you all like it.  I also hope everyone is safe out there.  I just heard that we will be getting more snow this weekend.  Yay!!

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Have a great Wednesday everyone!

Teacher's Christmas Gifts 2013

Hi Guys,

Today, I'm here to share a project that I made for my kids Teachers this year for Christmas.  It's a rosette ornament with a snowflakes.  I have always been inspired by Bona (Livelovescrap) on Youtube.  She made some ornaments that I just had to try out.

Here it is:
What do you think?  I used the Graphic 45 papers I got from Tuesday Morning:  Christmas Emporium and Christmas Past Collections.  I also used the KandCo Christmas Chipbox chipboard pieces that I had in my stash.  I used the silver snowflakes I got from the Dollar Tree and I found some cream colored snowflakes from Marshalls.  It gave the red rosettes a vintage look which I think goes perfectly with Graphic 45 papers.  On the edges of the papers I used a Martha Stewart snowflake border punch that I got from TJMaxx.  I love them all.

I hope I have inspired you to make some of you own.

Have a great weekend!!

Hugs,

Hi Crafters,

I'm here today to share my 2013 Thanksgiving Card for family and friends.  I haven't been much in a crafty mood lately but I saw a card on-line recently that inspired me to make this card for Thanksgiving.

I used paper from the Authentic - Give Thanks paper pack.  I also used Bazzil cardstock.  The sentiments came from a couple of dollar acrlyic stamps I either got from Michaels or Joanns.  I then used some table scatters for the leaves.  Ribbon from my stash.  Spellbinders - Label 1 and  a Martha Stewart border punch.

I hope you all like my card.  I hope to be back soon with more creations.

Masculine Birthday Card

Hi Everyone,
OMG, where has the summer gone? It has flown for me.  School is soon to start for my daughter and a week after for my son.  I'm so ready but not, does that make sense?
This summer wasn't a real vacation for Me.  It was busier than ever.
I do hope with school just around the corner that I will get some time to myself again.

Today, I wanted to share a card I created for my dad.

I don't know why I always struggle with this type of card but I do so much.  I do have some paper that is masculine or to me looks very masculine.

So this card I used the MME - All Spice.  It's an older 6x6 stack that I got from TJ Maxx last year.
I used bottoms and trims from my stash.  I used my To Go To "Happy Birthday" Studio G from Michaels.
That's it.

I hope you all like this card.

Thanks so much stopping by today.

Have a great Monday!

I'm determine to use up all the goodies she sent me. whew.  I haven't even dented it yet.
I then stamp a sentiment from Whimsical Design - Everyday Sentiment.  Colored her hair and skin with my copics.
The inside I added another paper doily and some black flowers that I took about from the rose I used on the cover.  Then added some flower trim also from Divine.

A Baseball Birthday

Hi all my crafty friends,
I'm here today to share another birthday card I made this month.
This one is for my wonderful husband.  He loves it when I hand make his birthday cards.
It's usually simply and always has something to do with BASEBALL!
LOL!

Here is my card and inside:

Ok, I guess you all know that my hubby is a fanatic Boston Red Sox fan.  And you know that state is crazy loyal when it comes to their sports not only baseball but all sports.

So, every year I make him a baseball birthday card.  I always buy this paper from AcMoore.  I'm not sure what company its from.  I used some chipboard baseball stickers that my kids and I bought today.  I stamped happy birthday with my tiny Studio G Stamps.  I used cardstock and baseball brads from my stash.
Then I used a sentiment stamp from Whimsical Designs called "With Love".  Love using those stamps.

So, I hope you all like my baseball card this week.  I will have more cards and other projects to share real soon.

Thanks everyone for stopping by today.

Please come back soon.

Here it is:

This is a regular A2 size card that I created for my hubby's niece's birthday coming up. LOL!!

I colored my gorjuss girl with my copics.
I used black cardstock from my stash.  I layered some script paper from Recollections.  I also used some Crate Paper paper called Ransom - I got from TJ Maxx some time ago.
I paper pieced her closed and socks with the paper.  I added some banners with the pattern paper.  And then used a Studio G "Happy Birthday" Stamp.  I also added some rolled flowers from MFT Dies.  I then used a mini flourish from Cheery Lynn Designs.  Last, I added some silver pearls and a yellow,  black and yellow buttons, and paper doily from the dollar store.

Hi Everyone,

Have you all Seen it?
Check out the Video
It's hilarious if you haven't seen it yet.   I just had to share.

Now onto our Challenge this week.  Have you ever heard of Christmas in July?  I know my kids would love to have Christmas twice in one year but lucky for me it's a card I created for the challenge.
Whew!

Here it is:

I used a Recollections paper pack called Naughty or Nice from Michaels.  I have a ton of paper still from previous projects.  I have other Christmas paper but I wanted to use this one up.  I stamp and embossed a tree collage cling mount stamp set from Recollections in a green tinsel opaque by Stampendous.  I stamp the sentiment from Whimsical Design set called "Snow Much Fun".  I used a EK border punch for the top of the card.  Lastly, I added some green gems on the bottom.

WW "ATC Challenge"

Hi Everyone!
It's that time again for another challenge over at Whimsical Designs
This week challenge is to create an ATC...  I love ATCs (Artist Trading Cards).  They are small and easy to create.

This week's sponsor is SKdigis.

Our wonderful sponsor is offering a $6 voucher to the lucky winner.
FANTASTIC!

Here is my project this week:

I have created many different ATCs but I wanted to make one that I haven't made before.  I chose to make a birthday theme ATC.  I picked out "gifts" digi image from our wonderful sponsor.

I colored the digi image with my copics.  (if you want to know the colors let me know).  I also added some clear glitter glue to the bow of the gift.  I use the papers from Basic Grey that I got from my friend Divine called "Shine On... ".  I love these papers.  Thanks Divine!
I layered the papers on some chipboard that I recycled  from the vent cover magnets I buy from Home Depot. I use magnets for my spellbinder storage system.  I stamped the sentiment with SU inks and it's from Whimsical Design set called "Everyday Sentiments".  Such a versatile set.  I popped dot the sentiment and image to show some dimension.

This was a fun challenge and I hope you all join in.

WW "Getting Patriotic"

Hi Everyone,
This week at Whimsical Designs we are being challenge to make some patriotic.
I don't have much paper that's red, white, and blue other than regular cardstock.  I usually use just cardstock for this subject but I wanted some pattern paper.
I went to my local AcMoore store and picked up a vintage looking paper from Karen Foster Design.   We were asked to pick out a digi image from our sponsor this week.

This week our sponsor is Eureka Stamps
They are offering five (5) digi images of the winner's choice.
That's Awesome!!

Here is what I came up with:
I picked the firecracker image from Eureka Stamps.  I printed it out several times.  Fussy cut and colored them with my copics.  I also stamped and fussy cut a cupcake stamp from Michaels.  I colored that too with my copics.  I layered the papers together.   The pattern paper is called "Stars and Stripes Collage".  I then stamped a sentiment from Michaels Dollar stamp (when it was only a $1).  I also used a sentiment stamp from Whimsical Design from the "Whimsical Fun - Vol. 1" set.

I also layered the inside with white cardstock and pattern paper.

I hope you all like it. I really like how it turned out.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a Great Wednesday!

WD "SummerTime Fun" Challenge

Hi My Friends,
It's me again with another Challenge for Whimsical Designs.  This week's theme is called "Summertime Fun". Summer is upon us and Summer Break with the kiddos too.  They are excited but I'm not as much.  LOL!!  We are going to spend this summer mostly at the pool.
Granted, I'm not a pool goer as you would think coming from Hawaii and all but my kids love the pool and swimming.  So, how can I denied them that.  I can't !!

So, my card is not so much the Summer Fun Time as you would assume but just a crabby card for a friend.

Here it is:

This card made me work.  I had a hard time figuring what to make for this challenge.  I had such a creative block it wasn't funny.  Then all of sudden at 6:30pm Sunday night I had a burst of inspiration to make this card and I think it turned out Great!!

I will post my video Here when I upload for you all.  It will have all the products and how I made it.

This year I'm using the G45 "A Proper Gentleman Collection".  I got a ton of these at my local Tuesday Morning so I'm trying to use it up.  I also used a stamp from Charlie Chaplin from Stampersbest.  I am finally using those stamps.  I love this stamp.  I then used a dollar stamp from AcMoore that I got last year.
I am finally using that as well. Added some ribbon from stash and also a metal filigree piece from Monica on the Scrapyard/Facebook.

I hope you all like it.  Have a great day!
