Mojo Monday 205

Hi Everyone, I just wanted to share a cute birthday card I made for my neice today.  I have been mojo out this week and I was brain storming until Divine (heyitsdivine on youtube) told me about Mojo Monday.  I have been a follower for sometime and this sketch really inspired me to make a cute and simple card.  I just love it.  Here is the Sketch and my card:

I used papers from my stash and I think I got them in a RAK and I think they are from a Stack from DCWV.   Not sure which one.  I used two different types of border punches.  One from Martha Stewart and one from Stampin Up.  I then used a Rose Red Grograin ribbon I had in my stash for sometime.  I used one of Yvett's beautiful flowers she made and gave me.  The color of the flower was just perfect.  I stamped on a little tag from Staples with one of my $1 stamps.  I added a button from my stash and some twine.  Very Simple and it made me use multiple pattern papers.  So, I'm entering this card to the Mojo Monday site today. Yay!!

Thanks everyone for stopping by and taking a peek at my cards.  Have a great day...

My New Favorite Stamp.

Hi everyone!  Happy Monday!  It is almost here.  What you say?  BACK to SCHOOL, is what I say!!  My kids will be going back to school soon.  I can't wait.  This summer has been busy with going to the pool, classes, and lessons.  I'm so glad it is almost over and a new school year begins.  You may think I'm terrible but I can't help it.  I feel like I'm a taxi cab most days...

Anyway, I wanted to share another card with you all.  I had to make a birthday card for a friend and I had used this sentiment again.  I had use it on some other cards I have made for friends.  It's my new favorite stamp.  It's from My Sentiment Exactly.  Here is the card...

I just love this sentiment.  I just bought the TH's sewing embossing folder from my local AcMoore store.  I embossed it on some coordination paper.  I then sanded it to show the secondary color.  I finally used the barque and mini baroque Sizzix die.  Love this die.  I used a sheet of paper from the Lost & Found paper I got from Hobby Lobby.  Can you believe it?  I cutting into a new pack of paper.  It's amazing to me.  It had a sewing pattern and I had to use as the mat.  I cut out swirls from my Sizzix swirl sizzlits.  I glue down a spool with some lace and a black button.  I also and a stick pin too but I don't think you can see it.

So, she should be getting this tomorrow.  I hope she doesn't look at my blog.  hehe!!  Thanks everyone for stopping by and taking a peek... I hope you all have a wonderful week.

Hobby Lobby Visit!

Hello Everyone!  Ok, Im now rested from my long trip to Hobby lobby and I wanted to share what I had gotten.  Nothing too exciting just a pack of papers and some sprigs.  We didnt the fabulous 50% off paper sale the week before or I would of done a video on it.  I have always loved the Lost & Found collection and I got it.  It was a 180 paper pack.  It looks like a combo of the collection.  Im so glad I bought it.  It's not the glitter paper but I love it anyway.  I used my 40% off coupon on it.  So, not bad price.  They didn't have alot of sales that was worth buying to me.  It was tempting...  I just looked up another location and there is another one near me in Maryland.  I may have to check it out now that I'm hooked. lol...  here is a picture of the pack and sprigs.

Believe me this will not be the last time I'll go to Hobby Lobby.  We will be planning another trip but next time will be an all day affair so we can have more time for shopping.  I can not wait!  So, if you ever get a chance to go to Hobby Lobby its always worth the trip.

Thanks for stopping by and checking it out.  Have a Great Sunday!!!

Swap Cards

Happy Saturday, Everyone!  I had a long but eventful Saturday.  My kids had swimming lessons Saturday morning now for about 7 weeks and they are doing great.  My daughter is trying to put her head in the pool a little at a time and my son is swimming like a fish, doggy paddle. lol!!  I'm so proud of them both.  Well, my son's lessons took a little long than usual which made me late on meeting Yvonne and Yvette.  But that is not all.  The Traffic on 95 going south was horrendous.  It look me 1/2 hour to get less than a mile to pick up Yvette then it took another 45 to an hour to pick up Yvonne.  Oh my, this was a long and traffic galore trip.  After picking up Yvonne, it was another 1/2 hour to Hobby lobby.  It was all good we had coupons in hand and we all got what we wanted.  Well, there wasn't the great deals everyone else was getting but nonetheless it was worth it.  I can't complain good friends to chat along the way and Hobby Lobby.  You can't go wrong.  I totally enjoyed myself even though the traffic would of drove me bonkers.  Here are the pictures of the cards I had made them for our swap.  Enjoy...

Eventhough I didn't have enough time to do more shopping with them we had a blast.  We will be doing this again I hope...

Anyway, If you want to know the supplies I used please let me know.  I'm too pooped to listed them right now.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Take care, Friday

Mini Altered Books

Hello Everyone, I'm here today to share some altered mini composition books I had bought awhile ago at my local Staples.  They were super cheap.  They came in a pack of 4 for a buck.  So, I thought I would alter these books with some canvas sheets I got at my Michaels.  I got some just to have on hand and I had this idea to cover these little books with them. (Inspired by Yolanda aka Yolibean)  I love how they turned out.  I also handmade some lace flowers to go with.  Stamped a dressform with my Lost Coast Design Stamps.  I covered the binding with some book binding paper I got from my local stamp store here in VA.  Then I added some lace and flat back pearls and Viola!  I also added a tiny paper bag as a pocket inside for a tag that you can buy at Michaels.  It fits perfectly inside.

Have a Fabulous Friday!!  Enjoy your weekend.  Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek.

Baseball Birthday Card

Hi Everyone, I wanted to share a birthday card I made for my hubby.  His birthday is this Sunday and I had to make him a card.  He is a huge Boston Red Socks fan.  I found a cool card on Splitcoaststampers and I had to case it and make it my own.  (Her blog is http://renlymatsworld.blogspot.com/) Since my mojo ran away.  So, I just used what I had on hand.

The "B" is from a template and I so wished I had a cricut to cut out this letter than me tracing and cutting it out.  What a pain!  But I did it anyway.  This template I've had for such a long time it's called Spunky Letters.  The letter measures 3 inches then I used a matting disk from SU which is since been retired and no longer for sale.  I use it to mat the letter an eighth of an inch.  I then stamped and colored the baseball player with my copics.  I got that stamp from my Fiskars baseball set.  I had a baseball brad and trine to finish the card.  Oh, I also used a Cuttlebug embossing folder for the background.

Thanks everyone for stopping by and Have a great weekend!

Almost there..

Hi Everyone, Are you all keeping cool this summer?  The weather is just absolutely crazy this summer.  Well, keep cool  and drink loads of cool water.

Ok, today I wanted to show you all the progress on my stamp organization. Well, I went to The Container Store and bought those page protectors.  I love them BUT I need more binders.  I can't win I just have too much stamps.  Anyway, here are some pictures of my stamps in the sleeves so far.

Here is the 8x10 sleeve.  It fits my Fiskars big stamp set.  Love it.

Here is the 5x7 sleeves.  They fit my Recollections stamps with the packaging for reference.  Love it.

Here is the 4x6 Sleeves.  They fit my sizzix stamps.  Pretty cool.

Lastly,  here are the 3-1/2x5 sleeves.  They fit my small Prima stamps with the bling and packaging.  Awesome!

This is what they look like when you buy them at The Container Store.  They are all Acid Free.

I need to buy more of the 8x10 sleeves for all my Inkadinkado stamps and more binders.  The cling stamps I thinking on using dvd cases since they are thicker.  So, I'm almost finished on organizing them all.  I'm pretty happy with this system so far and I can't wait to show you the others when I'm done.

Thanks everyone for stopping by and checking it out.  Have a great Week!

Stamp Organization Begins

Hi everyone, I'm back again with some pictures of all my stamps.  First off, I want to thank you ladies that commented on my previous post.  Since I don't have a room for all my scrappy stuff I have to think of a binder system.  Thanks, Dawn for your suggestion on storing them in boxes.  I think I won't use them if they are all in a box.  I have also put my smaller $1 stamps in another binder with baseball card holders.  I love it and it works.  I wanted to try out another binder system (page protectors with dividers).  I watched a youtube Video from reyasonshyne is her Youtube Channel.  She had mentioned these page protectors from The Container Store for only $1.99 for 10 pages.  They have different page protectors with different size pockets for instance 3-1/2x 5, 4x6, 5x7 and 8x10s.  They are used for photos and they are Acid Free.  So, I'm planning on buying some and trying this out.  But first check out my mess on my kitchen table.

So, I took out all my stamps and assessed what I have.  I even took out the ones I started to organize in a 3in binder.  I hope to be back tomorrow to show you the out come.  Wish me LUCK!!

Thanks everyone for taking the time to stop by and leaving  me comments.  I so appreciate them all.

Stamps Anonymous!!

Hi, My name is Friday and I'm a Stamp addict!  LOL!!  Ok, I'm in desperate need of some help with my stamps.  The below picture is some of the stamps I have and want to organize.  It's simply madness that I have all these stamps that I don't hardly use.  I'm asking you all for all your solutions, suggestions, and ideas on how to store them inexpensively?  HELP!!!

I want to use them more so I need a system that will be easy to use and store.  Here is a picture of my stamps.

As you can see, I have an assortment of stamps whether they are clear or unmounted.  I have searched high and low for a solution that will work but first I thought I would ask my scrappy sistas out there first on how they store their own stamps and maybe I can resolve this mess.

Thanks everyone for stopping by.  Please leave me a message on your stamp storage solutions...

Thanks a Ton, Friday
