Bday Favors!

Hi everyone.  Happy Sunday!!  I wanted to share my daughter's birthday favors she gave out yesterday at her party.  I found these popcorn containers at Target..  They are soooo cute.  I filled them up with a stamp set and pen (frm target), bling ring (frm mikes), chocolate and dumdum lollies.  I also gave each girl a diary with a lock and key that I found at Mikes too.   I thought they came out pretty and the party went really well.  My daughter and her friends had a blast.  I had a few surprises but nothing I couldn't handle.. Hehe!!

Have a fabulous weekend and thanks for stopping by my blog.

More Cards...

Hi everyone, Happy Friday!!!  hehe!  I wanted to share some more cards I made yesterday for two more birthdays but it's for next month...  I always struggle with masculine cards so I wanted to make these early to get it out of the way... lol.

I finally used the $1 stamps from Michaels on one card and I used the Tim Holtz clear stamp set called Life's Possibilities.  I like them but I still need more practice on them.

Thanks everyone for stopping by and have a Fabulous Day!!

Enjoy your weekend coming up...

January Birthday Cards...

Hi everyone, I hope everyone is enjoying their week so far.  Today, I wanted to share some cards I have made for my Sister and Brother for their birthdays this month.  I think this is my first year making cards for them.  Isn't that crazy?  I know right, shame on me.  Well, they are simple and easy.  Take a peek...

So, these are not as fancy as some cards out there but they are still homemade and from the heart.  For my Sister's Card I found these 3D transparency stickers at Michaels, it's part of the Recollections brand.  I just loved those stickers.  Then I used a dollar stamp I got at Michaels several months ago.  Now, as for my Brother's card I have always struggled with masculine cards.  I seriously need help and guidance.  I cringe everytime I have to make a masculine cards for family and friends.  I use the Tim Holts stamp set The Journey from his Visual Artistry clear stamp line.  Anyway, I hope they like them...

Thanks everyone for stopping by and Have a great Thursday!!

Take care, Friday

Faux Metal Tags...

Hi everyone, on my last post I had mentioned Denise from smitten4glitter and her cupcake liner flowers.  Well, I'm back again with another one of her inspiring videos...Thank you so much, Denise.  I have been wanting to buy metal tags for some time now but I was too afraid they would be to dangerous because of it's sharp edges.  I'm so glad she thought of another way to make them and they look fabulous.   I can see doing alot more than just these tags.  I have some key, key holes, and other dies I can diffinitely use this on.  Check her out guys, she is full of awesome ideas and projects.

My hubby found some faux metal liner from Home Depot.  It was a little bit more than what Denise had mentioned in her video but you do get 18in by 6ft of contact paper per roll.  It has an adhesive backing which is really convenient... I adhered it to chipboard and then ran it through my big shot to cut out the tag shape.  Then I ran it through it once more with the Cuttlebug Embossing Folder.  Super easy and a cool embellishment for any project.

Thanks everyone for stopping by and have a great weekend.

Cupcake Liner Flowers!

Hey everyone, I wanted to share some flowers I have made with cupcake liners.  Yes, you heard me right.  I want to give credit to Denise at smitten4glitter on Youtube and her blog is http://smitten4glitter.blogspot.com/.   She had done a tutorial on these flowers and I just had to try them out and you know what?  They are addicting.  Here are some pictures..

This flower has a clear bobble.  You can't really see it but it's there.  I should of used a colored one. LOL...

This one is made of a white liner and I glimmer misted it with Vintage Pink and Old Lace.  I used a brad for the center.

This last flower is made of the dollar cupcake liner from Michaels.  I used a Joann button for the center.

Thanks Denise for the Superb tutorial on these flowers.  I hope to do many more for my projects.  These are just samples...hehe!!  There is another project of hers I want to try and it's the faux metal tags she did in one of her videos.  I just have to get the faux metal liners from Home Depot.  I hope I will be able to find it.  LOL...

Thanks everyone for stopping by and check Denise out on her blog and youtube channel.  She is Awesome.

Movie Birthday Invitations!

Hi everyone,  I wanted to share an invitation I have been working on.  It's for my daughter's 6th birthday.  Whew!  Time sure flies by...  She is turning 6 yrs old.  I can still remember bringing her home from the hospital like it was yesterday.  I know haven't been posting or making vids for sometime and it's all because I can't seem to get motivated.  I should of joined Marion's 31 day challenged.  Oh well, better luck next time. LOL... Hopefully things will get better and I'll get back and creating more things.  Wish me luck...

I hope everyone is having a great day.   If you have any questions please feel free to ask anytime.

Grinch on ICE!!

Hi everyone, I wanted to share some pictures of a place we went to in DC at the Gaylord Hotel.  It was called Christmas on the Potomac.  There was an exihibit there that we went to and it was amazing.  Take a look...

Everything was made out of ice.  There was even a slide for the kids that was made out of ice too.  They had a blast and so did we.  We had to wear parkas over our jackets and coats.  They said it was 9 degrees in there.  COLD!!  but super fun and amazing!!

Thanks everyone for stopping by and checking it out.  Hugs, Friday

Xmas Altered Gifts

Hi everyone,  I hope everyone had a great time ringing in the New Year.  It was pretty uneventful here. lol... Just went out dinner with the family and then had a quiet evening with my hubby while watching the ball drop on TV...

Well, I wanted to show some altered notebooks for my friends that I scrapbook with.  They didn't want to do a gift exchange but I had to make something for them.  I hope they like.  Here are some pictures to share.

Thanks everyone for stopping my blog and leaving great comments.  I so appreciate each and every one of them.  I hope to created more cards this year.  That's all I can do for this year since we are in the process of doing improvements to our house and hopefully moving sometime this year.  So, wish us luck...
