December Bday Card

Hi everyone,  Here is my second post of the day.  Wow.  That never happens here. LOL!!  Anyway, I wanted to share a card I made for my hubby's niece.  Her birthday is on the 28th and we just had to send her something for her birthday.  Her favorite color is blue so I just pulled papers I thought would go.  I used stamps from SU.  The paper is from DCWV and it has glittler all over it.  I think this paper is from the posies collection.

Thanks everyone for stopping by and Hope you all have a great day!!

Giving Tree Gifts

Hi everyone, a quick post for this time of year.  I just wanted to share that I believe this time is for Giving.  At our church, every year they have a Giving tree that we (parishiners) pick stars off the tree for unfortunate kids and famlies that need our help this Christmas Season.  I always love doing this every year for our community.  Now I'm teaching this to my kids.  They both pick out one star each (one boy and girl) for this year.  I want to teach them that it's about giving than receiving.  Anyway,  that's all I wanted to share with you all today during this busy season.

Thanks for stopping by and following me.

My Xmas Card for 2010

Hi Everyone, I hope everyone is having a wonderful but warm weekend. LOL.  It's pretty cold here in VA.  About 39 degrees.  I know it's colder in Canada.  LOL!!  Anyway, I wanted to share my Christmas card for 2010 for family and friends.  I haven't mailed them yet but it's going out next week.  I was going for a vintage Christmas this year and I hope I have achieve it.  Please let me know what you all think or should I go back to the drawing board. lol...  Here are some pictures of it.

I used a Hero Arts stamp called Collage Merry and Bright.  I think I got this on sale at Michaels last year.  I used a Hampton Art stamp for the background called Twas the Night background.  Then I used the dollar stamp I found at Michaels for Merry Christmas.  I used Timber Brown Stazon Ink, Walnut Stain Distress Ink, and Vintage Photo Distress Ink for the stamps and the distressing.  I didn't have a brown button so I improvise and used a clear button from MM bag of buttons and back it with brown cardstock.  Run the MS bakers twine and tied with a bow.  I used xmas red stickles on Santa and balls on the tree.

Thanks everyone for stopping by !  Have a great Day!

My ATC for November!

Hi Everyone,  I wanted to share my November ATC for a swap I'm hosting over at http://www.myscraproom.ning.com/.  It was a Fall theme ATC and this is what I cam up with.  I didn't want it to be too dimensional on this one.  I just love this time of year when the leaves change colors not so much of them falling because you know who has to rake them up. LOL!!  Since I use to live in Hawaii we didn't have the changing of the season and now that I'm here I just love it.  My sinus hasn't been the same but I don't care.

I use some fall papers form Me and My Big Ideas.  It had foiled lined leaves.  Then I stamped and embossed in gold a dollar stamp I got from Michaels on transparencies.  Used some leaf brads and punched out some leaves out of cardstock.  I embossed the edges of the leaves with gold detail embossing powder and used some stampin' dimensionals from SU and that's it.

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving with your family and friends.  I had a nice quiet time with mine.

Thanks for stopping in and taking a moment.

Kimmi Dolls from Hawaii

Hi everyone,  I haven't been in a creative mood lately but I did want to share some adorable dolls I got from my Sister from Hawaii.  I'm orginally from Hawaii but now I live in Virginia.  I haven't been home ever since my daughter was born so, there are times I truly miss my home dearly.  This past girls day, My sister gave my daughter a cute doll (the doll that is not in a plastic container) for Hina Matsuri (it's a japanese celebration in Hawaii).  I absolutely fill in love with the doll and I asked her if she could pick me up some more just because I loved them so.  Isn't it Super Adorable?  It just bring me back home.

I hope everyone is having a great Monday and thanks for stopping by!!  I will post a picture of my Thanksgiving card I made this year for my family and friends on Wednesday, so stay tuned... hehe!!

Goodies I got

Hi everyone, I just wanted to share what I got in the mail on Friday.  I got one box from hallmarkscrapbook.com for the two dies you see above.  Thanks to Kathy aka canadianscrappergirl on Youtube mentioned it to me and said they still had them.  So, I rushed over there and order it and I also got the on the edge die from Tim Hotlz.  I was super excited about getting that dress form die.  Now, if only I can get the dress and overall die I would be a happy girl. LOL!!

Then I got a surprise package from my Sista in Hawaii.  She bought me some Hawaiian stamps.  They are they so adorable?  Thanks you, Sis.  She also gave me a couple of japanese Kimmi dolls (which are not in the pic) that are popular in Hawaii.  I absolutely love them all.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend and thanks for stopping by.

Crimper Rosette

Hi everyone, Hope you all had a great week and are ready for the weekend.  I wanted to share a birthday card I made for my daughter's classmate.  I was playing around with my crimper and tried the TH rosette and I really like it.  It's really a simple card but I really wanted to share how I made the rosette like the TH die.  I don't have the decorative strip and I thought I would try it with my crimper and it turned out great. I do have the Scor-pal though but this was easier.  What I did was I used my Crimper from Fiskars to a 1 inch strip of brown cardstock and folded it back and forth.  The crimper made it so easy to fold.  I will try to use my scallop border punch to do the edges.  It will look just like the rosette flower TH die .

Thanks everyone for stopping by and have a Fabulous weekend.

November Birthday Card!

Hi everyone, I hope everyone is having a great weekend.  I wanted to share a birthday card I made for a dear friend of mine.  I have known her now for about 13 years and she is a great friend.  So, I wanted to make her a shabby birthday card.

I sort of paper piece the dress with the same paper I used for the background.  I must say it was a lot of fun.  No wonder Bona and Rina enjoy doing it.  I used a Inkadinkado clear stamps set called Friendship.  Then I used a new stamp set from My Sentiments Exactly, Birthday Sentiments that I got from ACMoore for $5.00.   I used a paper doily to make the lace.  I made it look old with antique linen distress ink.  I really love how this card looks.  Wrapped some pink ribbon around the waiste of the dress with a pearl.  I also used  pink ribbon to trim out the lace.

Please enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by my blog.

LOL...

I wanted to add some other centers to them but that will be for another post. hehe!!  Thanks for stopping by and taking a peak.  Hope everyone is have a great week so far.  It's hump day you know and tomorrow is a Holiday.  Yay!!

Carved Pumpkins

Hi Everyone, I know that Halloween is now over but I could not help to share some pictures of our Jack-O-Lantern this year.  My kids helped by digging and scooping out all the yummy seeds and yucky goo out of the pumpkin.  They had a blast.  Then they picked out a design.  Well, each child wanted something different so we decide to put both designs on one Pumpkin.  Check it out.

My Son wanted a spooky Spider.

My Daughter wanted a sneeky Cat.

I placed the design on the pumpkin and poked the holes to outline the design.  Then my hubby did the amazing carving.  Didn't he do an Awesome Job!!  I think so.

I hope you all had a Wonderful and Safe HaLlOwEeN!!

Thanks for stopping by everyone.  Take Care!!

My First ATC!!

Hi everyone, I thought I would share my very first ATC card I made for my ATC swap over at myscraproom.ning.com.  It was a Halloween themed ATC and this is what I came up with.  This was really fun.  I had one miss up but I compensated with something else and I love how it looks.  Check it out.

I cut out a chipboard base with my new ATC sizzix die.  I painted the chipboard with cream acrylic paint then used the crackle medium.  Painted it again with Black acrylic paint so, i could get an aged crackle effect.  I had a dollar stamp that had the door and saying "Enter if you Dare".  I embossed both images with black detailed embossing powder.  I embosed the door on thick vellum and the saying on vanilla cardstock.  I cut out the saying with my deckle scissors.  Then I distressed the saying with dusty concord, peeled paint and black soot distress ink from Tim Holtz.  I use a tiny brad for the door handle.  I stuck the cob webs and spiders with glossy accents.  I used a skeleton rub-on for inside the door.  I just thought this came out really cute but scary... bwahahahahah!!!  Let me know what you all think.  So, check us out at myscraproom.ning.com for other wonderful swaps.

Thanks for stopping by.  Hugs, Friday

PUMPKIN PATCH!

Hi Everyone, I just love this time of year.  When the leaves change colors, the air is brisk, and the plump pumpkins.  We have made it a tradition here in our family to go to a local farm and pick pumpkins.  It's so much fun and what a perfect day for it.  It was tons of fun to pick pumpkins, go on a hayride, paint ceramic animals, pony rides, and corn maze.  I wish it was fall all year round.  So, that's what we did today.  Here is a picture of the pumpkins my kids and hubby picked out.  Enjoy...  Have a great Weekend, Everyone!!  Hugs, Friday

I {heart} for Bebe Card Drive!

Hi everyone, I wanted to share some cards I made for Dale at http://creativelychloe.blogspot.com/.  I couldn't feel for her on loosing her dog so suddenly.  That's hard to loose a love one including a family pet.  I don't have a dog right now but I grew up with dogs.  I loved them just like family so, I can only imagine what she is going through.  I wanted to help her make these cards because I thought it was such a great idea to give a card to the owners along with their dogs hair to remember them by.  I think it will help with the healing process. I made a total 6 cards for her.  I hope this helps a little.  Here are some pictures for you all to enjoy.  Thanks everyone for stopping by and taking a peak.  Hugs, Friday!!

My Very First Challenge!!

Hi Everyone, I wanted to share my very first Challenge over at Papercraft Star.  This week was a pretty easy challenge and I needed to make a Anniversary Card for my Parents.  This is very new to me.  I hope to continue to do challenges from now on.

So the challenge this week was from Simon Says Follow this Recipe:

Make a Card
Base: 5.5 x 5.5
Mat: 5x5
Score Mat 5 times at 1/4 inch
3 Flowers from Die Cut or Punch
3 Buttons and Twine

(You may also add a sentiment or other items as desired), this was a perfect opportunity to try this out and see if I like it.

I used Shinny Grey cardstock as my base.  Scored five times with my scor-pal to the pink vellum.  Applied scriped pattered paper to the center of the vellum.  Added some pink ribbon.   Punched and layered pink vellum flowers.  Added clear buttons (I got from Rica, thanks Rica) and strung twine through the buttons.  And thats my Card.  Enjoy.

Thanks everyone for stopping by and taking a peak. Have a great weekend. Wish me luck!! LOL.  I hope everyone likes my card.
