WW "ATC Challenge"

Hi Everyone!
It's that time again for another challenge over at Whimsical Designs
This week challenge is to create an ATC...  I love ATCs (Artist Trading Cards).  They are small and easy to create.

This week's sponsor is SKdigis.

Our wonderful sponsor is offering a $6 voucher to the lucky winner.
FANTASTIC!

Here is my project this week:

I have created many different ATCs but I wanted to make one that I haven't made before.  I chose to make a birthday theme ATC.  I picked out "gifts" digi image from our wonderful sponsor.

I colored the digi image with my copics.  (if you want to know the colors let me know).  I also added some clear glitter glue to the bow of the gift.  I use the papers from Basic Grey that I got from my friend Divine called "Shine On... ".  I love these papers.  Thanks Divine!
I layered the papers on some chipboard that I recycled  from the vent cover magnets I buy from Home Depot. I use magnets for my spellbinder storage system.  I stamped the sentiment with SU inks and it's from Whimsical Design set called "Everyday Sentiments".  Such a versatile set.  I popped dot the sentiment and image to show some dimension.

This was a fun challenge and I hope you all join in.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today.

Have a great Wednesday!

WW "Getting Patriotic"

Hi Everyone,
This week at Whimsical Designs we are being challenge to make some patriotic.
I don't have much paper that's red, white, and blue other than regular cardstock.  I usually use just cardstock for this subject but I wanted some pattern paper.
I went to my local AcMoore store and picked up a vintage looking paper from Karen Foster Design.   We were asked to pick out a digi image from our sponsor this week.

This week our sponsor is Eureka Stamps
They are offering five (5) digi images of the winner's choice.
That's Awesome!!

Here is what I came up with:
I picked the firecracker image from Eureka Stamps.  I printed it out several times.  Fussy cut and colored them with my copics.  I also stamped and fussy cut a cupcake stamp from Michaels.  I colored that too with my copics.  I layered the papers together.   The pattern paper is called "Stars and Stripes Collage".  I then stamped a sentiment from Michaels Dollar stamp (when it was only a $1).  I also used a sentiment stamp from Whimsical Design from the "Whimsical Fun - Vol. 1" set.

I also layered the inside with white cardstock and pattern paper.

I hope you all like it. I really like how it turned out.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a Great Wednesday!

2013 Teacher's Gifts

Hi Everyone,
I'm here today to share my 2013 Teacher's Gifts.  I have always loved altering clipboards.  Clipboards are really useful for teachers.  Plus, I couldn't think of anything else to make for them this year.

Here it is:

Love making these for teachers.

I used the G45 An ABC Primer Collection that I got from my local AcMoore.  Black Cardstock from my stash.  The wonderful sentiment is from Whimsical Designs from her set called "Everyday Sentiments".  The clipboard came from the Dollar Bins at Target.

Thanks everyone for stopping by today.

Have a great Thursday!!

WD "SummerTime Fun" Challenge

Hi My Friends,
It's me again with another Challenge for Whimsical Designs.  This week's theme is called "Summertime Fun". Summer is upon us and Summer Break with the kiddos too.  They are excited but I'm not as much.  LOL!!  We are going to spend this summer mostly at the pool.
Granted, I'm not a pool goer as you would think coming from Hawaii and all but my kids love the pool and swimming.  So, how can I denied them that.  I can't !!

So, my card is not so much the Summer Fun Time as you would assume but just a crabby card for a friend.

Here it is:

This card made me work.  I had a hard time figuring what to make for this challenge.  I had such a creative block it wasn't funny.  Then all of sudden at 6:30pm Sunday night I had a burst of inspiration to make this card and I think it turned out Great!!

I will post my video Here when I upload for you all.  It will have all the products and how I made it.

This week's Sponsor is Fresh Brewed Designs.  They are giving away 3 digi images of the winner's choice.  How Awesome is that?
Thanks Fresh Brewed Designs

Thanks everyone for stopping by my Blog today.  I hope you come back soon.  I will be posting my Teacher's Gift tomorrow.

Have a great Wednesday!!

Father's Day Cards 2013

Hello My Friends,
Today, I'm here to share my Father's Day Cards for 2013.
Boy, these holidays sure sneak up on you quick.  Well, it did for me.  I'm not done with some birthday cards I started and had to put on hold to make these.

Here it is:

Please don't mind the picture the sun wasn't quick shining bright this morning.

This year I'm using the G45 "A Proper Gentleman Collection".  I got a ton of these at my local Tuesday Morning so I'm trying to use it up.  I also used a stamp from Charlie Chaplin from Stampersbest.  I am finally using those stamps.  I love this stamp.  I then used a dollar stamp from AcMoore that I got last year.
I am finally using that as well. Added some ribbon from stash and also a metal filigree piece from Monica on the Scrapyard/Facebook.

I hope you all like it.  Have a great day!

WW "Vintage"

Hi Everyone!
Happy Wednesday or Hump Day for some!
I can't believe it's June can you?
My kids will be out of school soon and AHHHH!!
I'm not ready for that.  Well, I am and I'm not.  I have some things planned for them but it's still overwhelming.  No summer camps here not this year at least.  We do have a road trip planned this summer to Boston.  What are you plans this summer?

I'm back again for another weekly Challenge over at Whimsical Designs.  This week is just up my alley. We had to create something with a vintage feel.  Most of my projects already have that feel and I absolutely love it.  I like other types but vintage is the one I go to the most.

Here is my project:
I made a mixed media canvas.

I used a 5x7 flat canvas I got the last visit to Boston last year.  I can't remember where I got them from.  I believe it's a store only up in the New England area.
I used a stamp from StampersBest called Evening Walk.  They have the best image stamps around.
I used some crepe paper for the some texture for the ground and moon.  I used some of my glimmer mist and Smooch spritz for the colors.  I then used some modeling paste with my Template from The Crafters Workshop called Mini Art Is.  I embossed some words from Cuttlebug embossing folders You and Friend.  Cut them out gesso it and then distress it with TH Vintage Photo Ranger Ink.  I stamped the sentiment from Whimsical Designs stamps set "Whimsical Fun - Vol. 1".  I have been wanting to use this stamp for sometime and I finally got a chance.  I'm sure it's not the last time I use it.  I love this saying and I thought it was appropriate.  Lastly, I added a metal corner piece from Monica on facebook/scrapyard.

I hope you all like it.  I missed the Mixed Media challenge in May, so I had to give this a try.

This week our sponsor is Scrapping Memories.  They are generously offering a prize of 5 free files of winner's choice on their site.  Awesome!!

So, stop on by Whimsical Designs for this challenge and future challenges and enter to win.

Thanks everyone for stopping by today.

Have a great day and take care,

First Communion Thank You

Hi Everyone,
I wanted to share the Thank you cards I made for my daughter's First Communion.  I know it's already June and her ceremony was in May.  I know life gets in the way.  hehe!

So, here it is...

It's a very simple thank you.  I embossed the cross from Spellbinders for the first time and I think it came out pretty good.  What do you think?

I embossed a dollar stamp from Michaels with Silver Detail embossing powder.  I punched a border with my Stampin Up Border Punch.  Added some pink paper and that's it.

So simple and easy to crank out 10 of them.

Thanks everyone for stopping by today.
Stay tuned tomorrow for another Whimsical Design Challenge Project I have to share.

Take Care,
